First of all it's got nothing to do with knowing who Nigella is
It's thinking we have a president and that that president is called Nigella Lawson.
Or she thinks that's the name of the president of the USA.
Either way......
Stephanie is beyond stupid. She's 22 with the maturity of a 10yr old.

Nigella is neither extremely intelligent nor gifted, she is privileged. Extremely so.
Something she and Steph have in common.
Oh really! Are you aware she graduated at Oxford University! Or are you just assuming. Your post has a little arrogance to it.

She was "Annie" and also little Nelly in "Her Benny".
I think anyone in regular theatre work is an established actress, dont you? Maggie Smith is in another category.

I adore Maggie Smith and I'm sure she won't mind me calling her 'the bollocks' Poor old Steph is shite in comparison

I beg your pardon ?

I was thanking you for offering the information that Stephanie had been performing in theatre since she was a child ... something I hadn't been aware of

I think you may have misunderstood, and I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough

Is she? Poor thing. But my point was that she is an established actress, which she is, in response to the claim that she hasn't been through auditions and rejection.

I'll act fik, so everyone likes me...innit.

If you want to endear yourself to the British public, you have to act like a complete imbecile. Look how popular the likes of Scotty and Charlotte Crosby are....
We've had contestants in the past asking who Hitler was, if the Earth had two different suns'.....etc etc.
She may have not heard of Nigella Lawson...but she sure as hell knows who the President of the USA/Prime Minister of the UK is.

Exactly, I can't believe anyone still falls for it.

I bet half the people on this forum under a certain age will not have a clue who Nigel Lawson is. As for Rapeseed oil, my daughter also 22 has never heard of it. If you are into cooking you may have come accross it, if not then why would someone automatically be aware of it?
But would half of forum members under a certain age not know who Barack Obama or David Cameron are? If they do know, then they know that Nigella Lawson can't be the President of either America or the UK. And indeed that we don't have a President.

That's the point of people being stunned at her lack of common knowledge or reasoning.

Yes really.
I don't care what you think of my opinion.
I know what I know.
You carry on thinking whatever you like. I love that you assume that anyone graduating Oxford is extremely intelligent. And to make it funnier your sniping at me for assumptions.
No wonder this country is run by the idle rich, the proletariat just love to bow.

If anyone of 22 thinks we have a president called Nigella I'm going to call them an idiot.

I can't believe any normal 22yr old wouldn't of rape seed oil. The fields in this country are awash with rape for a couple of months a year, you'd have to be stupid not to be aware.

It was a very odd chain of thought by the look of it. I am thinking that she has heard of Nigel Lawson in relation to the government, mixed him up with Ted Heath, and then mixed up the words president and prime minister?

I dont know how she can not know Nigella Lawson though. I do my best to avoid her but almost every time I put my television on she is sucking her fingers all over the place!

Do you think they're not then? I think anyone being accepted for Oxford must be pretty intelligent TBH - never mind graduating.

Clearly you know different.

I do.

If you're poor and you get to Oxford you're clever, not always that way if you're from a well known, well connected, wealthy family.
Like I said earlier, Nigella is extremely privileged.

I know a young girl at oxford who is a very gifted artist, but she comes across as slightly thick.

Well she may be gifted as an artist and either she is also academically bright, or not, regardless of how she appears.
But that's not relevant to Nigella or Steph.

This began because somebody made a ludicrous claim that Nigella is clever and gifted and, because of that, Steph would not know who she is.

I think all of that is rubbish

Nigella might well be clever and gifted, but her recipes are not. (in my opinion)

I dont think you can be unaware of "rap" if the fields near your parent's house is full of it.
