^ That's exactly what I get from him. He's empty, vapid, unengaged and unengaging and I suspect his 'inner life' resembles and is about as interesting as an empty cardboard box.

I think it's a sort of combination thing.

He wanted to be the 'showmance' male. Him and Megan didn't ring true as anymore than friends to me, but that would have done, however, Steph and Jeremy garnered far more attention.

Scotty didn't like Steph's part in the whole thing also because she was emotionally unfaithful. But this may be a red herring.

For all it's possible falseness, I think there actually IS some connection between Steph and Jeremy and Scotty is actually jealous of THIS.

Right at the beginning Scotty actually said that he'd been in a couple of relationships and was badly burned, so he decided not to bother and to just shag around.

He insists he's having a FANTASTIC time doing this, but actually I'm not so sure.

Lastly, the BROMANCE angle, is compromised by Steph, who is not only the 'love' interest, but also occupies a lot of this 'spot'. I think Scotty resents this too.

There is no real overt animosity with Steph, but Steph has supplanted pretty much all his possible 'roles' and he does come across as resentful sometimes.

Everyone seems to like him - we hear about him cooking, we hear about him working out with John, but we rarely see him on the HL except in a supporting role.

Now Tiff is giving him attention he may get over it a bit.”

I think you make a lot of good points there. Some of the points on that list if not all of them may be true.
I do think he could well have gone there with the idea in his head that he was the male showmance housemate, and doesn't like it that some other couple are stealing his thunder.
Interesting point you made there about him not liking what he sees as a genuine connection of some sort between them.

It doesn't help that he doesn't seem to mix much with other housemates either. He seems to openly state that he's sick of Jeremy going off with Steph and he probably has a strong dislike of her for this point alone.

No he's definitely not jealous he's just the whole time thinking "Jeremy you're a idiot"
the way he keeps going back to Stephanie like a puppy an the way Jeremy asks Stephanie for permission.
There's no one really Scotty gets on with except Jeremy if another guy was in there they'd get on great.

Yes I agree with all of this, I quite liked Scottie early on but I think he's quite the stirrer in Jeremy's ear when it comes to Steph! He just wants him for a bromance, even more so since Megan's gone and he hates Steph taking him away from him! I quite like Steph now, I know she's mixed up but she's not a bitch like the rest of the girls in the house now!

I've said since the beginning ,he wanted to be the one that had the ''Showmance'' on the show ,and he was pissed off that he wasn't ,and it was for this reason he tried not only to get Jeremy to back off ,but Nominated Steph again and again ,Not because Jeremy was his ''mate'' as he claimed

I disagree, on Geordie Shore he is always in competition with his friends over who pulls the most girls. I think he is annoyed that he is not the centre of attention. This doesn't make him a bad person, I quite like him.
