Back to the point.
Gemma would like to have a bloke and a baby. She is 35. She is estimating how she can achieve this to chime in with her biological clock and trying to convince herself that this can be done efficiently under a year. I have heard musings along this line - not quite as blunt - from quite a few women in my time. They feel time is running out but are hoping that the goal is achievable. If, as I have read tonight, she has had both an abortion and a miscarriage, then I do feel for her. |

Something else seemed to be bothering her, she was worried what people would think about her not being married and having a baby at her age, I don't know why that bothers her. But for sure there is unhappiness and insecurity in there. I don't like her but I'm beginning to understand her and that understanding may result in pity. |

Yes, I thought her concern that people would think that at 35 she was weird not to have reproduced was shallow.
There are all sorts of reasons why a woman wouldn't have a child by that age and that does not mean that she is substandard. As John pointed out, she has businesses and a media career and that if she really wanted the baby shebang she would have had it. Gemma appears to want a baby like a designer accessory - maybe to match her vagina

Just playing devil's advocate here.
It must be rough being Gemma Collins - she is in an environment - reality TV - where all the pretty luscious girls are having drama/romance with the young men. Yes they have their bad times but also a lot of good ones too. She sees them kissing, being admired in their bikinis/pretty clothes, being taken out to dinner, spoiled with presents and having fun. None of the young handsome men go for her (only Arg - and he is obese too). She is doomed to sit on the sidelines and act up with Bobby Norris. In the house currently, the two young male studs ignore her, she refuses to do the spinning class, knowing she will look bad compared to the others; she can't cook well, she hasn't got a gym honed body; she doesn't sing or play an instrument, she has no discernible talent and she isn't even on TOWIE anymore. It must be gutting to see Steph have a handsome young man madly in love with her and unable to see her faults despite advice from everyone direction in addition to a year-long live-in partner, who she expects (expected) will present her with a ring. She sees young Megan being canoodled by the hot favourite to win, displaying her peachy bottom with impunity. All these girls have what she wants and she is relegated to stay relevant by bullying the weaker ones. It is desperately sad. She shows no inclination to change her ways despite knowing (and I'm sure she does, deep down) that she herself - her own attitude - is at the root of all her problems. If she wants a different life, then it has to start with her. If she put even a quarter of the energy she expends on being a MonsterDiva into doing something positive to change herself, good things could follow. The ball's in her court but rather than chasing it, the lazy mare is waiting for it to come to her. Or, more likely, for someone else to fetch it and juggle it and miraculously make all the changes happen without her having to lift a lazy finger. She's destined for a very discontented and bitter future. |

It wouldn't be healthy to carry a baby with the amount of weight she's carrying.

That's typical of a narcissist/sociopath - because of their over-inflated ego and total self-interest, it's all about them and looking out for number one. They are capable of being utterly charming and promising the world to whoever they set their sights on, in order to draw the other person in. However, this is merely a façade, one which they cannot maintain for very long before their true, selfish, ugly side starts to leak through. Any time the issue of their appalling behaviour is raised, they will not even entertain the idea that they could possibly be doing anything wrong and will find the flimsiest of 'reasons' to justify their actions and thereby absolve themselves of any wrong-doing, whilst also chipping away at the other person's self-esteem and belittling them to give a clear message that they are unworthy of deserving happiness and therefore unworthy of them.
I feel that in Gemma's case, all she wants is someone to provide her with what she wants. That person could be anyone, as long as they're prepared to financially support her, cater to her every whim and treat her like the princess she deludedly thinks she is, without them expecting anything (or at least, very little) in return. After all, they are the 'chosen one', granted access to the wonderful world of 'The GC' - what more could they possibly want or need? They are merely there to make her happy, which in turn should make them happy and be reward enough, not to mention eternally grateful to her for being given such a fantastic opportunity. She is a typical narcissist/sociopath imo. It shows through in her cold, dead eyes. |

... She is a typical narcissist/sociopath imo. It shows through in her cold, dead eyes. There are support groups for children of narcissist parents. I think she would be an utterly damaging parent to a child. That's a harsh thing to say - I'm well aware of that, but when Tiffany was saying what a good mother she would be, as the child of such a parent myself, I couldn't stop myself hoping she doesn't put a child through what they are destined to experience. |

Her age and her weight are against her. Of course plenty of women give birth in their late 30's but she seemed to think she'll get, pregnant straight away. She's so used to getting what she wants but this is one thing she can't demand.

Bashing one out is such an eloquent turn of phrase!
It suits Ms. Collins down to the ground I would say. In response to a previous poster, her age and weight are the least of her worries. I'd say that having the personality of a viper is more of an issue. |
