Celebrity Rumours 2016
I have found an article via OK magazine that apparently Eurovision Champion Mans Zelmerlow is apparently being lined up for the show by the BBC already.

I'd imagine this is more his people trying to push him into the UK market. They did a great job at burying the homophobic stuff to make him look LGBT friendly so it wouldn't affect his ESC chances with possibly the worst winning song in years.

http://www.ok.co.uk/tv/strictly-come...-winner-wanted However, I had never heard of Jay McGuiness before Strictly 2015, and he turned out to be fantastic, so whether this rumour is true or not, I'm happy to keep an open mind. |

Well, Måns Zelmerlöw won the first series of Swedish Strictly, so I think we can put this one to bed.
EDIT: It even says it in the article. |

I can't imagine Strictly having an unknown foreign singer. Every year at the start of the series the press go on about how they have never heard of some of the celebrities, though they are usually known to different groups of viewers. If they started using unknown foreign 'celebrities' then there would be even more of this.

) Because one person's "nobody" is someone else's "famous" and vice versa. And 2 weeks into the series, who cares? You know them well enough by then. And since SCD is the UK's top-viewed show, clearly it matters not a jot.Equally- just because you haven't heard of this Mans guy, doesn't mean that many others haven't. I'd never heard of Jay McGuiness until Strictly, but I was aware of the winner of Eurovision. And they've had non-Brits before: Martina Hingis, Jerry Hall, Nancy Dell'Olio, Michelle Williams. The only way a celeb would be known by everyone is if they were mega-famous, and the mega-famous don't need or want the job. And those that say that people with a higher profile have an advantage over those that don't- it didn't help Peter Andre or Emma Bunton and it didn't hinder Darren Gough or Chris Hollins. Once you're on the show- you're famous. Ever since pro-celebrity golf, people have been going, "Who?" ![]()

His the Swedish guy who won Eurovision Song Contest 2015 I believe what am I saying I'm a giant fan always have been and he deserved to win check his song out quite cool!!
He has no real fanbase in this country (unlike Jay, or unlike DD who had a massive fanbase in an adjoining country with access to BBC services) His name would be likely to be met with baffled looks, and is unlikely to draw in many viewers (outside of the core Eurovision fanbase). This looks more like an attempt by his management to talk up his profile in the UK. |

I doubt that many people will even remember who won, never mind the singer.

Really you hated it that much? Like I agree I really don't like that kind of music and I certainly wouldn't choose to hear that genre of music not my thing but his song is an exception it grows and you.. Oh well he can't please everyone right?
Yep and the televoters agreed with me, Italy won on viewer votes but the juries saved the day for Sweden. I actually like the genre just hate the song. |

Gaz Beadle from Geordie Shore has said that his drugs scandal may have destroyed his chances of appraring on Strictly Come Dancing although he wants to do the show:

I was very surprised become a good majority of songs by European winning artists are never able to have hit singles or at least became known after the contest has finished. The exception would be Euphoria by Loreen, Satellite by Lena and maybe even to an extent, Hard Rock Hallelujah by Lordi. (I know I am drifting away from the intended subject matter here. )

There's no way Mans will do the show. He's already a big star in Sweden and won Let's Danxe in 2006.

Hardly unknown in this country as he has had numerous top 10 albums here, and is actually one of the most prolific recording artists of the 2000s!

Maybe he had two chances to appear on Strictly - fat chance and no chance. Snorting white stuff isn't going to change that.
