Oh, I've just realised - everyone who is being announced on Monday must be in the country at the time, the day after the closing ceremony. That would be a pretty strong indicator that none of them are Olympians, yes?

I think most of the Olympians are home already. The closing ceremony is going to be a bit ... sparse.

Quite a few Team GB stars are already home, so it's all dependent really on who, if they signed them up.

I agree that reasoning does rule out some, but not all of them, that's for sure...

Yes, for example Jason Kenny is back home. Chris Hoy is about to fly back home according to his Twitter feed and so could be him! .

quite a few of the Olympians are back, eg Laura Trott and her partner are back as are some of the swimmers and gymnastic team

Laura and Jason are getting married in September - and I think Jason would crawl a mile over broken glass and scoop his eyes out with a spoon before being on any tele programme, let alone Strictly

And a certain Ms Ennis-Hill if I recall correctly? That would be my dream signing for this year...

I am now very certain it is 8 women and 7 men - the logical place for Angellica to be announced is The One Show, and that's obviously not been possible over the last two weeks. And I still think that unidentified man is going to be in at least their 50s.

If it's true that Neil's out, then it would make sense for him and Katya to be out together. Claudia's announcement makes AJ (and therefore Chloe) more likely to be pros too, I'd say, since it looked like it would be too of the newbies sitting out to begin with.
