Yes this year we may still get Irish stars, because it will take a while for the new Irish show to be made obviously.
Actually even when the Irish Dancing With The Stars is up and running, I think we could still get some Irish stars, particularly if they have made their career here in Britain.

From what I have seen of her on TV, Nina looks quite tall so if she were to compete on Strictly she would more than likely be paired with one of the taller male pros, probably Aljaz.

When does everyone think we will get the first announcement? My guess is that we will hear this friday/Saturday that the first announcement will be on such and such a "radio show, tv show " on Monday 8th August -

This thread reminds me of occasions when lots of reporters are standing around waiting for something momentous to happen and end up interviewing each other for something to do.
For some reason I think every year is the year someone from B*witched will finally do SCD, but I'm always wrong. I guess now Irish DWTS is on the cards it's even less a possibility. Oy vey.

I have been saying this forever and a day. It would be one of my dream partnerships. Jane has a brilliant sense of humour and will not take herself too seriously - very much like Anton doesn't regarding himself.
But can you really see one current and two ex-Loose Women (in the shape of Ruth, Sherrie & Jane) in the same Strictly series...particularly as we had Jamelia last year?
If Jane is not in, I'd love Ruth to get Anton. I imagine she will need plenty of reassurance so Anton for Ruth please...and NOT Brendan!!!
