Looking to get a new Panasonic tx-40cx680b but on measuring up the stand it rests on (54cm) it will be wider than our cabinet and hang over the edge so look a bit rubbish, so to avoid that if we site it squarer on it would need to turn to get the correct viewing angle, but the stand doesn't swivel like our current Panasonic TV.

Is is possible to get 3rd party swivelling stands? tried googling for them but no luck.

No room for a wall bracket unfortunately

Try googling 'vesa mount table stand'

The set will have a Vesa mount on the back (it's what wall brackets use). I found a couple just now.

Good choice. ive just treated myself to the 50inch version. Managed to get it for £599.99 from Co-op. Was too good to turn down at that price though ideally I wouldve went for the model up with 3D, the 700 which is Currys exclusive. Problem with that was id have had to budget for a new stand aswell but didnt have to with the 680. Barely watched 3D on my previous set anyway so not a huge loss.

Anyway, the 680 is decent out the box but can benefit from a bit of tweaking. There is a well known AudioVisualForum out there you can get user settings from

ETA. If you dont know already if you want to watch 4K from Youtube you will have to watch through the Firefox browser for now. The Youtube app isnt showing 4k content since the last update. Bit of a faff as you also have to change the resolution manually
