interesting idea and I'm looking forward to this series but I don't think for a minute that any of these 'celebs' would seriously consider retiring to India.........

Buying live chickens - nooooo Has to be just meat for me.
And no I am not being a hypocrite - just realistic.

The animal muck in the street would send me to the nearest airport home.

I couldnt do it, I must admit. The climate would just kill me, my feet would be the size of footballs and I would be puce.

I would love the food and the people. I couldnt cope with any toilet issues like Miriam experienced.

Its somewhere I have always wanted to visit, but Id have to hire a driver to take me round for the week but I really dont think I would cope with the heat which is a real shame.

Three weeks I think.....

I was in India back in the eighties and the public 'toilets' were a total nightmare - most memorable was being ushered into a pig pen where the pigs 'disposed' of the waste

Be interesting to know, especially seeing that bloke earlier in the Yoga session saying that they could cure their short or long sight!! I tried a book on that once when I was at university and part of it was to stop wearing your glasses, I had so many accidents and walked into a mens toilet at one stage.

Yep - as an expat in Spain for the past 12 years I can confirm that this is becoming an issue for OH and I and several of our friends

I saw Wayne Sleep and Miriam Margolyses on the trailers, that was enough to put me off watching.

You wouldn't like the caste system I'm sure. I worked with Asians for many years and the goldsmiths don't want to know the shopkeepers and the shopkeepers don't want to know the cleaners.

I'd say the British system is pretty stringent as well...
