I know she is Scottish but it sounded like she was tring to be posh American. She didn't speak quite like that when she was constantly on TVs before she was disgraced.

I thought it was a joke top with cabbages on it at first, then I saw the horror come out of the diary room.
My theory about the dress is that she has a designer friend who has offered to make her a bit of haute couture in the hope of TV exposure making her name for her.
