Belkin Netcam Help
StoneColdSaysSo
26-01-2016
I have a few Belkin netcams and use the app that comes with the product. I bought another camera which I had been assured was compatible with my existing setup, a toguard hd camera. However I don't seem to be able to locate the new camera on my existing app. I tried the app for the toguard camera, but don't really like it and I can't locate my existing cameras on it. Does anyone know if it is possible to connect the toguard camera on the Belkin app? Is there a 3rd party app I cam use that would connect both cameras? Or do I simply have a duff camera?

Thanks in advance

I take it the App allows you to view the cams via a web page? That's usually what happens. I also presume that you're simply relying on each manufacturer to host the cameras on their own web servers rather than you providing one of your own. Would that be correct?

If the above is right then put yourself in Belkin or Toguard's position and ask yourself if you'd be happy to host the streaming feed of every Tom, Dick or Harry's camera on your expensive server. Bandwidth costs money.

I'd go back to the firm that sold you the Toguard and ask them what their solution is.
