I had mine out just under two years ago, with no problems at all.

Waited for seven months for the op though and was terribly ill during that. Awful prolonged utter misery and hospitalized four times.

Try to give up and get addicted to the gum. Plus it's expensive.

I sympathjise. I had tried all the NRT products and none of them worked. They just made my mouth and throat sore except the patches which made me itch. I was terrified I would never give up. Then last May I tried vaping. I hadn't planned it I got talked into buying a cheap ego pen one afternoon. Tried it the next morning and never smoked a cigarette again. I tried two days later and put it out after two drags.

20 months for me vaping so far, not touched a cigarette since the day I started. Also lost nearly 3 stone

I know a lot of people who have been totally successful with the vaper.

I just wish wish wish wish I was one of them.

It's good though. Perhaps I'll get there.

My brother had his out some years ago (in an emergency situation) and although its not the sort of information we share I don't think he has problems and he certainly doesn't avoid fat.

It might be worth excahnging PMs with Muggins. She seems a bit of an expert and seems to use quite complicated kit ( a mod with variable ohms I think - I have no idea what that means! but she seems to).She may be able to guide you to kit that gives you more bang for yoru buck.

As you may have spotted I have become a vaping evangelist.

I don't know the full geeky stuff, I shove high level nicotine liquid in and puff like the magic dragon.

It would be great if you could get there. With me the liquid bit was easy. I hit lucky first time with that. I tried other and didn't like them so came back to the stuff I got from the woman on the market who sold me the kit. Since them I have been reducing the nicotine content bit by bit.

I struggled with the kit though. Still do but not as badly as I did at fisrt. I had a few hairy days when none of my tanks etc would work properly.

Haven't got your problem, but over the years reduced eating and fat, so that if I eat a teeny bit of it in food, I start to retch loudy and hold on for dear life until it stops. Now that I drink more water, use the loo a lot more which can cause me unpleasant pain now and again. I really hate food as it's no good for me at all. But can eat sweet stuff and no bother at all. Do you get affected by sweet things?
