Yes to say I am disappointed in cbb would be an understatement.

Three things I wish bb would do

1 If someone wants to leave have an ejector seat in the diary room and dont allow them back into the house.

2 Allow the Great British Public to vote off housemates we don't like without bb inventing "immunity from nomination " tasks.

3 BB should be the respected at all times and all contracts should be the same with the same fees dependant not on screen time but length of time in the house.

These rules would cut out these fake

I miss my family.

I almost get the impression that they go into the house, lights, camera action, act out their bit for the highlights and spend the rest of the time in a hotel.

The really dishonest bit is taking money from the voters who think they actually have a say in the outcome.

I'm about to chip in with the Live Feed broken record again.
A full 24/7 Live Feed keeps the show production based in reality.
Without it it's just another fake reality show.

The civilian version is even worse....

The theme for the civilian BB should be "Big Brother BareBack"

It'd basically be a completely stripped back Big Brother, before all of CH5's bs took over.

You'd have:

- Nominations once a week and the TWO with the most votes are up for eviction (not like 5 or 6 of them)

- One shopping task a week and shopping list, which we actually see the housemates filling in

- No immunity. Tasks are merely for shopping budget

- No outside information, so lose the letters from home, outside visitors etc...

- Those who try to leave or have to leave for medical reasons are out for good

- No new housemates, unless perhaps in the case of one leaving

- Basic and consistent punishment for nominations talk such as that housemate being automatically up for eviction

- Online live feed (if they can't have a channel dedicated to it)

- Clear and consistent punishment for other rule breaks, but none of this warning people over everything they do, to the point at which nobody dares do or say anything. Also, should only be one verbal warning, then the boot

- I understand editing for some entertainment purposes but less of the towie style editing with overlaid music and montages and a more fair edit in general without trying to paint certain housemates in a good or bad light. Let us decide that for ourselves!

I think if they did all that, it could rival it's heyday on CH4, perhaps even beat it, since even in the CH4 days, there were some questionable things on that list that they didn't do.

The fees and the different contracts .

Its almost as if BB is afraid to "punish" rule breaks in cbb
In case they "lawyer up"

Agreed manipulation is also in bb but its not just as blatant (apart from bb15) as eg bb bending over backwards to persuade Gemma not to leave.

Well I think the civilian version is far more manipulated. Some celebrity series have been good on channel 5 IMHO

The last Big Brother I watched in full was Big Brother 10 from 2009. Are you saying the above rules are pretty much not in place any more?

They used to be sooo strict about nomination talk which I loved. Even if they suspected HMs of talking/signing to each other who they didn't like or whatever, they'd get hauled into the Diary Room for a PROPER warning. Also used to love seeing them all lose it over making the shopping list. That was great TV viewing

BB is no different from TOWIE and GS semi scripted BS.
