Another candidate for career worsened, from the same CBB, is Jodie Marsh.

I think that both I'm a Celeb, and BB have damaged Gemma's career on TV.

BB gave her another chance, but it's now obvious that she truly is far more trouble than she's worth and will only perform if every Diva like wish is granted.

She is unreliable and cannot be trusted to do the job without embarrassing the show.

They'll bend over backwards for her on BB, but no one else will touch her with a barge pole - she's far too much trouble.

And there are plenty of other ugly characters out there who'd do as good a 'job'.

She has massive delusions of grandeur, she honestly thinks she can get what she wants because she's a superstar like Beyonce or something.

But she seriously isn't.

I think that after being in CBB Barrymore was in a good position where he could have built on from it. But I remember that he did a little bit of presenting for a show shortly after CBB, and he was slurring and stumbling his lines, and it was a sad sight to behold. You just knew from watching that little piece that it was unlikely for him to get back to where he once was.

Where will he pop up next? If your MP is old or looks poorly be afraid ... be very afraid. ”

I'm trying to work out Galloway's history from the Wikipedia article. I think it's like this:

... whatever was further back ...
Labour MP for Glasgow Kelvin from 1997 until 2005.
Expelled from the Labour Party in 2003.
Respect MP for Bethnal Green and Bow from 2005 until 2010
--- CBB January 2006 --- <-- added in edit
Tried to be elected in Poplar and Limehouse in 2010 but came third, with 17.5%.
MP for Bradford West 2012 - 2015

Thinking back of names I can recall I can't think of many where CBB seems to have made any difference one way or another.

Julian Cleary's tour after CBB sold out. Of course it may have done anyway. I have heard people attribute Take That getting back together as a direct consequence of Mark appearing on CBB. I have no idea if that is the case. Shipla made a name for herself in the UK which I don't beleive she had before. I can't say I see much evidence of her having done much with it though, and her circumstances were unusual. Hmmmmm Preston found a wife

Most seem to carry on much as they had before, except for a few who do a talkingheads on BB compliations or a panel appearance on BBBOTS.

Good points, though I'd say CBB did a lot for Rylan's career. I can't think of anyone else except perhaps Chantelle Houghton.

That sounds about right. When was he in CBB - 2007?

Oh yes of course Chantelle. I forget she was a CBB person.

I tend to ignore Rylan because I think he went into CBB because he was planned as a presenter and not the other way around.

Good point. He might have flopped in CBB, though, so I think it did help him. I also don't think it would have made much sense to pick him as a BB presenter if he hadn't at least done very well in the show.

No I agree. I think it was part of a rather convoluted recrutiment / trial and training process. Had he bombed I have no doubt he would have been binned.

She'll go back to that

what is clearly does show is that if it comes down to talent or having the right agent - having the right agent wins by a country mile.

This is the first clip I've ever seen of TOWIE. I'm in shock at how bad it is. It not even so bad that it reverts back on itself into the realm of hilarity - it gets stuck somewhere around awkward and very painful.

I bloody love that TOWIE scene . You can tell she is absolutely raging that her usual bullying tactics don't work and she just cannot deal with it when people stand up to her. I have watched every series of TOWIE and she was great in the first couple of seasons that she appeared in but she has developed into a truly appalling person. I imagine the cast of TOWIE were cheering when she made her exit and I would be amazed if any of them are actually friends with her now. I've always been surprised she has any friends at all. She's incredibly fake. And to stand out as a fake in a programme that is all about fakery is no mean feat.

I've only seen bits and pieces of BB but it comes as no surprise that her behaviour has been appalling because her behaviour is always appalling.

GC couldn't host Bots.... her command of English is dire, she is not funny & her lines are very laboured.
