Lycamobile in trouble?...
Redcoat
28-01-2016
Only main source is from the Graniuad, reporting that following up on the case of company employees supposedly depositing six figure sums at Post Office branches, and an apparent tax bill of £9.5 mil, they have failed to meet a deadline for publishing their accounts and run the risk of being deregistered.

Report line also taken on political donations which could end up being embarrassing should deregistering occur.

I've been on Lycamobile for nearly a year and they're a mixed bunch, calls not connecting despite the receiver having full signal strength, some sms messages not coming through and when I once asked for a PAC code they promised to send it but never did. Data works well and that is its strong point. Have been looking elsewhere recently, EE & Talk mobile both on PAYG & simply only are looking good options.

Is this new news? Wasn't this reported a year ago?

Yes it is news, as the situation has progressed from what it was last year.

I have to say I'm glad they're getting some heat for their seemingly dubious business practices. Though in the same vein I'd be pleased if Vodafone (and others) were to face continuing scrutiny for their tax affairs too.

This could get interesting as they own 4 radio stations. I wonder how this will affect them?
