5GB of data?
I upgraded yesterday and went from having 500mb of data to 5gb for more or less the same price. I found with 500mb I always kept data off when not using it and only turned it on a couple of times per day to check email and social media etc. In mobile terms is 5gb a lot of data? I'm lost as to what I could do with this data, could I stream say tune in radio for a few hours per day? Would it be difficult to use up 5gb data in a month?

5gb would be fine for streaming music or radio. As with any plan that has a limit you should set up data warning rules – easily done in Android and Windows, no idea about iOS.
I’m sure that there are online calculators that will tell you what 5gb of data will get you with regards to video, audio, browsing etc. I have unlimited so I don’t worry but I have just looked back at my recent usage and it was about 4.5gb – mainly podcast downloads and YouTube streaming. |

In the first month I had unlimited data, I really caned it with Spotify and Tunein Radio, sometimes for a couple of hours a day, and I just about hit 6gb of data for the month so I think you'll be fine OP if you want to take advantage of 5gb.
Even now when I listen to Spotify for an hour here or an hour there and look at some youtube videos or stuff like that, I don't always hit 5gb. |

It really depends what you do!
Personally I consider myself a very heavy data user and my usage is usually somewhere between 6.5GB and 9GB so if you aren't a massively heavy user then it'll be fine .

I've recently switched from unlimited ('all-you-can-eat') data on Three to 2GB data and am struggling a bit... thought I'd be OK but it seems not - I should have gone for the 4GB tariff instead (on Vodafone). Lately I've been particularly enjoying the BBC iPlayer Radio app, I'd recommend it.
I'd say enjoy using your data OP without worrying about it! |

Damn 100GB Christmas SIM is proving tricky. Going to have to watch a load of iPlayer or something otherwise it will get the better of me.
Still, looking forward to another 100GB from the 31st. See if I do better that time! ![]() http://postimg.org/image/uygmjcvwf/ |

As long as you are not downloading films you should be fine. I use about 4gb a month and dont have to even think about what I'm using my phone for!
