Hi

I'm just wondering what you do want to see in the next series when it's finally on in 2017 (I think I got that right didn't I?)

For me, one thing I really want to see is a story involving Christopher Columbus. It doesn't have to be really serious, but I would love it to be done in a way where the reality of him finding America was in fact done through The Doctor. Like he was heading for India* and the Doctor was the one who told him where to go to get to America. It could then be described to be something like the official record of what happened is in fact because of the Doctor, he told people that Columbus found America by accident (something like that)

(*sorry if I have this wrong, history was never a strong subject for me)

Another one I'd love to see is Guy Fawkes. This whole episode could be serious, as it would feature the Doctor with a dilemma, does he let him go ahead or get him caught etc.

I'd also love an episode that is done in real time, where he only has half an hour (or something like that) to solve a problem and he can't use the Tardis to solve the problem (or the Screwdriver for that matter)

More Gallifrey

A new evil Mastermind with potential to become a recurring character

A series finale which ends on an almighty cliffhanger ..........

A Peter Jackson directed (possibly written) episode.

Give the Chib an episode to set up something for Series 11.

Wasn't one of the games (considered canon by Moffat I believe) about Guy Fawkes (could be wrong)? So I doubt we'll see a story about him in Series 10.

They've already done the real time episode with 42, have to make it pretty different for it to be worthwhile using the concept again.

Bring back the Chumbleys.

But also more of Capaldi being outstanding as always.

Would like a more positive series. Doctor will have a new companion.
So stories where he actually manages to keep everyone alive.

Bit like in 1.10 The Doctor Dances where 9 is so happy and relieved to save Jamie ,Nancy and all the people who had been changed.

Christmas proved he can do lighter and more funny material.
Liked how he was with River.

Think he will love his new companion be nice to see him show it.

Entertaining interesting well told stories with good production and quality acting.

Do away with the insular who-mythology approach that's dragged the show down since series 7 and instead create new vibrant tales that stand on their own two feet rather than relying and what's come before to fuel the story.

Have bold quirky weird ideas backed up by strong characters.

Have one story with Missy, as she's great, and that can be the one and only one who-mythology link to the past, but the story around her should be something new. Though if they have to have Galifrey then make Missy blow The Orange Ball of Boredom to kingdom come, its such a shame Moffat has undone the good decision that was made to get rid of the Timelords/Galifrey.

None of this mopimg and depressing, wikipedia in depth character analysis psyches.

I want proper stories now, I wanna see The Doctor being clever, meeting new people, serious life threatning scenarios and most of all having fun travelling time and space I miss that friendly companionship and I want continuity.

"...just this once Rose, everybody lives!".

Not that I disagree about having a more positive series next year generally speaking, but in spite of the cited quote coming from a Moffat script, the man is also guilty of cheapening the concept of death in Doctor Who remarkably. Whether it be killing off Jenny and admitting it literally only takes the pressing of a few buttons to undo it, or having fake-out robots as a means to fake the Doctor's death, or even Clara's role in Hell Bent. Sometimes characters die, and need to stay dead. In a show where there's weekly peril, any more than the very rare episode where death is cheated or unlikely serves only to lower the stakes significantly. Moffat nearly course-corrected with Clara, but I personally felt he stumbled at that final hurdle again - simply not able to let go. Even taking her out of her time stream was an acceptable move, and a nice epilogue for those of us who loved the character. But going from dead to technically immortal in one fell swoop took the proverbial biscuit.

I enjoyed Series 9 for being dark and gloomy - that's what it was trying to be at face value and I enjoyed it for that. Tonally though I would love something different for Series 10 - to echo several posts actually, something more upbeat would be good. I remember after Series 3, RTD said that Series 4 was going to be "more fun"... and I feared the worst having just watched John Simm wheel about a prosthetic-clad Grandpa Tennant to the Scissor Sisters, but ultimately he judged it right and Series 4 as a whole felt like a properly fun, adventurous, landmarks-of-the-universe kind of series. Another in a similar vein would be brilliant.

I actually want to see a return to the RTD style story-arc (Bad Wolf/Saxon etc) only because the story-arcs recently feel like it's a little shoehorned and not properly done to me in places

I think the weeping angels will return (sadly).
Galifrey will be back, hopefully with the general and president returning
Missy will return, with a proper story hopefully.
I really hope the Paternoster gang will return.
Hopefully a proper historical story but knowing Moffett it won't happen.
A return for Osgood, UNIT and Kate would be good.
No Ashilder.
I think a godd finale to the Moffett era with a Stolen Earth/ Journeys End style everyone returns but I don't think Moffett would like it.

.

How many viewers would have played the game though? I haven't played the game and don't know which game it would be...just think it would be a good episode that's all

Moffat's best work.

Some new writers with lots of promise.

More production work like that of Rachel Talalay and less like that of Ed Bazalgette.

Episodes with a unique and distinctive tone, not homogenized so much into the 'Doctor Who formula'.
