Natalie was fairly seriously injured, apparently after Gleb dropped her in rehersals. It was originally thought she'd be able to return to the tour after missing a few dates but her injury is severe enough that's she's had to pull out entirely, so as Karen was already on the tour but without a celebrity partner she was asked to partner Ainsley.
I am rather annoyed that there has still been no "official" announcement by either Natalie or the tour team on social media though.

It's been tweeted by a few people that were there tonight that it was announced during the show that she'd pulled out of the tour entirely.

I was at the show in Sheffield last night and it was announced that unfortunately Natalie had had to withdraw from the show due to an injury and that Karen was replacing her
Such a shame as her & Ainsley were lovely together!!

Such a loss to any show that girl. Mind you, she might be glad to be out of it, but Ainsley will be sad. They had such a good partnership and Karen is no substitute

It's very unfortunate for Natalie and Ainsley - they had a lot of fun on Strictly and by all accounts those on the Tour are having a blast.
I wish her a full recovery, and quickly.
With Aliona, Kristina and Ola gone, next Series might give Natalie her best chance in years? (Although tall males who have dance potential are rare).

Gelb is taller than Brendan and Brendan doesn't seem to have any problems lifting Natalie. She's a professional dancer and knows how to hold herself to make it easier for her partner to lift her. More likely, it was simply a moment that went wrong, whether because of Gleb, Natalie or both of them. It happens.
He dropped Kristina too, and there was a report that he accidentally hit Janette in the nose, causing it to bleed.

As far as I can tell, Joanne hasn't been given any offical recognition for stepping in and being part of the tour by the website, in the programme or on any social media (Natalie hasn't actually said anything at all about her injury- hope she gets better quickly!). I really think she should.

Mel has started to make an announcement at the beginning of the show that Natalie is injured and Karen has stepped in
Not sure when this started but I saw the show in Birmingham (last show) and nothing was said and then a week later in Manchester (sat night) the announcement was made
nothing on any media site from Strictly Live Tour saying Natalie has had to withdraw, which, in my opinion, is really poor of them!

Reported here on another thread but the search function doesn't seem to work right anymore so there's no way I know to find it. It was reported by someone who's had good info before and this poster knew Natalie was injured during rehearsals (before the tour started) when it hadn't been reported anywhere else, and it wasn't clear they were correct until the tour started (Natalie kept tweeting that she'd be there, everything seemed ok, etc., except it wasn't.)

Yes, I know it was more than likely an accident. It's was the comment that Gleb dropped her because he was too busy looking at himself in the mirror that annoyed me.

It seems to be "good info" when it suits peoples agendas. When the same poster was saying that Aliona was rude to people backstage to the point of driving them to tears and that Jay had a "syndrome" it wasn't so well received...
