Doctor is finally going to get his new companion next spring.
Meaning he will have been alone for 14 months maybe longer.

During Angels Take Manhatan he was told by both Amy and River not to be alone.
They both thought it was dangerous for him.

With Clara and River both gone there is no one for him to talk too keep him on the straight and narrow.

Last time he suffered loses he sought comfort with Vastra,Jenny and Strax would he do the same again ?.

Guess we will find out at Christmas and in the 10th series premiere April 2017

He was trapped in a dungeon recently as usual, went to play cricket to see if he still has it. And accidently crashed his Tardis into Rexicaricophalipotorious and got into some trouble.

I feel he's going to get a position as a spin doctor in the British government.

Otherwise he's probably sitting around the console room reading H.G. Wells and randomly navigating the TARDIS into trouble.

That explains Tucker's anger issues.

He ,,, accidently crashed his Tardis into Rexicaricophalipotorious and got into some trouble.
whilst tractoring a humongous quantity of vinegar en route to a planet that decided everyone should eat fish and chips, but had no vinegar. The population of Rexicaricophalipotorious will fart no more. The Doctor would then have to stand trial for genocide.

@Lord Smexy There never were any repercussions shown from the Master as PM Saxon assassinating the President of the USA on the tarmac at Heathrow airport. It was never actually stated that Martha's fix removed that event from the timeline The Doctor could have spent some time fixing it so that didn't happen.

You are aware this isn't actually how fiction works yes?
Especially on a show where the central conceit is TIME TRAVEL.

an amusing, if slightly mean spirited reply

OP, Dr who isnt a fly on the wall Documentary... its not real!

Fictionally, they could write series 10 as a direct follow on from the minute series 9 (or at least the husbands of river song) finished - or it could be set years - maybe hundreds, later after the doctor lost Clara.

Remember in the 'snowmen' the doctor had been alone and moping for an unspecified amount of time having lost Amy and Rory - we were never told how long that was supposed to be - though he had time to totally change the TARDIS console room in the meantime.

I've said it before, all this business with actors, studios and production crews - it's all just a front to cover up what's really going on!

Just like Harlington-Straker studios in the 80s (or was it he 70s? ).

Then who caused the Great Fires of London and Rome, gave the Greeks the idea of the Trojan horse, had a part in the mystery of the Mary Celeste, and the extinction of the dinosaurs?

Shun the non-believer.

Those buggers at UNIT created fake footage for all the television channels to air as well as tampered with the memories of anyone who went there.

I read that in John Leeson's K-9 voice.

Based on same thing happening in The Eleventh Hour, that could take anything up to, ooh, say, an hour.

...even more if the awful 'changing the desktop theme' was a literal interpretation and the TARDIS underlying OS was something Microsoft had a hand in.

.. several hours at least sitting outside the tardis watching a spinning wheel icon.

I don't know about the Doctor but I see Kate Lethbridge-Stewart has found a nice gig working in a hospital to pass the time.

(I don't actually watch Holby City but saw a promo for it last night. I was quite confused as I had the sound on mute and it begins with Jemma Regrave wearing army fatigues. I had to rewind and watch it properly just to check that they hadn't done some cheeky cross over!)

BIB: Za is not stronger than the whole tribe!

I think the Doctor spends his time alone just sitting quietly and smoking his pipe.
