So easily recommended by the nurse/doctor? I thought that alcoholics had to prove that they were sober before getting a liver transplant

It could be one of the reasons why Grant comes back so he can give Phil a bit of his liver .

I doubt Peggy will give Phil her liver. She has secondary cancer and it has most likely spread to her liver. I dont think Grant is giving Phil his liver too unless they're killing him off?

People can donate part of their liver without having to die as the liver can regenerate over time so Grant could donate part another option would be Ben to do a partial donation.

I really hope there is going to be a semblance of reality in this story. We're not going to have someone with secondary cancer being able to donate an organ / an alcoholic being priority on liver transplant list / miraculous recovery and his liver recovers. This could be a long term story over a number of years that culminates in a transplant but he needs to go through all the steps that would make him eligible.

Oh no Bobby very much wants Philth gone remember the golf club That's why he's off to boarding school so that if some idiot gives Philth part of their liver, he is going to refine his skills in order not to fail next time

Ireland and organ donation - two topics I never thought EastEnders would ever dare broach again

I can imagine Grant giving it and dying soon after, to stop people wanting another return afterwards

I hope they do go ahead with giving Phil a liver transplant and he makes a full recovery and then goes around owning everyone again just to see the response on here, I always enjoy a good laugh.

But then would come the endless speculation that Grant faked his own death.

Don't give TPTB ideas!

I want them to remove the Banshee's liver like in the sketch from Monty Python's 'The Meaning of Life'.

It might not do the Philth much good but it would certainly give me a good laugh!

Buster is very much a spare part so that would be fine.
