I got a Now TV box and it works very good here in Dublin, Ireland.
I will cancel Sky TV in a few months for Now TV.

Here is the process for freesat/saorview with Now TV in Ireland:

Number One

http://www.satbuyer.co.uk/humax-hdr-...hite-p241.html
Get the wifi in built Humax Freesat Freetime from the above.
all you do is just connect it to dish instead of your SkyHD+ box.
Remember a sky dish and a freesat dish is the same dish.

http://www.freesat.co.uk/channels
the above is the list of the TV channels you get.
You choose the UK postcode for your UK TV.
ITV player, netflix and Youtube works through this box.

Number 2
You need to get a outdoor TV aerial for Irish TV/ Saorview.
When the aerial is installed just connect it to the back of your saorview approved TV.

Number 3
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...ilpage_o01_s00
To get Now TV from Sky
Get the above from the above also.
www.nowtv.com
The 'Entertainment Pass' costs 9euros per month. It includes Sky Atlantic, sky arts and lots more.
'all4' works with Now TV.
Now TV's content is ads free.

NOW TV isn't available in Ireland and you may find your account gets blocked when your IP address or payment method identify you outside the UK.

Maybe not today, maybe not next month but their T&Cs are clear it's UK only and they do block accounts.

As Sky already broadcast all the channels in Ireland on satellite I don't really see there being any rights issues with NOW TV. So although it may officially be UK only, they are probably ignoring users in Ireland for that reason.

Some of the other apps may have problems, such as the ITV Hub and BBC iplayer, but Sky don't have control over those.

That looks a bit of a faff with much use of the TV's source button and an expensive faff to boot.
Maybe Sky will launch a Now TV box in Ireland that has all the above channels on it?

Sky will not launch Now TV in Ireland officlally

On Boards.ie, there is a sky Ireland section for sky reps to deal with customer queries.
Last week I left information on Now TV on that forum can now be used in Ireland. my thread was deleted by boards.ie or sky ireland.

I am going to cancel Sky TV next month as that is when I can cancel

boards.ie and sky ireland have now banned me for life for mentioning Now TV on boards.ie

I am still keeping the basic Sky TV's original bundle as I need it to record Irish TV, but Now TV's new Terrestrial box later this year change that

But I have Now TV's entertainment pass upstairs for my sky multi-room/sky boxed sets/sky store's purchased contents of 328 films so far
