I know I didn't, in fact it made a welcome break as it has been a bit dull of late.

I have to agree I didn't miss it either, and it would be nice to have one night in the week not just the weekends completely free of any soaps not just EE.

I didn't. it was a welcome change and nice to have a free Friday night to do other things.

I've got a feeling the BBC will eventually ditch the Friday episode with all these budget cuts going on.

I actually performed a 1hr live action interpretation of what would have happened in Eastenders, as my missus couldn't bare it not being on.

I don't think they would ditch it. It's far cheaper to produce a 4th episode of EE for that slot than almost everything else they could use to fill its place.

Certainly couldn't have been any worse for the acting and did you remember to throw in a "how's Adam?" for good measure?

Excuse you. How's Adam was one of the funniest scenes I've seem in the show

Unintentional I might add

Adam was actually a character I introduced half way through the episode, as a symbol of liberal Western values in the face of tragic adversity. Shame about the plane crash at the end of the episode, he could have been a real EE classic character had he not been killed off so soon.

It would be better if they cut down the showing of all the soaps to once or twice a week at the moment we have soap overload.

2 episodes is plenty, and it would give them the opportunity to trim the cast down and get rid of some of the dross. The Slaters, The Massoods, The Foxes, all kids/teens, with them gone the show would improve massively.

That wouldn't be a show I'd want to watch. Along with the Carters they're the only families I enjoy.

You've mentioned 2 of the best families in the show. Without them we'd be subjected to the Beales constantly who are irredeemable

I didn't miss it. I'm finding the show very boring. I find that the storylines are dragging. I could say more but il leave it there.

Ian was a boring kid and he has continued to bore for 30 years. And his latest wife is no better. I wouldn't miss them if they left tomorrow.

I'll say it, I did.

The more Eastenders the better for me as I always like to have something to catchup on.

I didn't miss it but I'd forgotten it wasn't on and sat in my perch in the living room in anticipation of it coming on! Should have finished the chapter I was reading in my latest thriller novel instead!

I disagree. I really enjoy watching The Masoods and The Foxes. Also, it's good to have different age groups on the show.

Home & Away has recently returned following a 6 week break. How would you feel if EE was off air for that length of time?

Not to interject (though that's exactly what I'm doing), I did wonder once what if our main soaps had hiatuses. I'm glad they don't to be honest.

I thought EastEnders might need one because of they're moving the set slightly, but it looks like they'll be building the brand new Albert Square first, then demolishing the old one (currently used on screen) to make way for the new streets they're adding.
