There have been quite a few. The better ones IMO include:
Terry Duckworth Jon Lindsay Maya Sharma Anne Foster Jez Quigley Tony Gordon Tracey Barlow Karl Munro For me there are two that really stood out - Richard Hillman who had just about everyone fooled until he struck. John Stape who was an accidental murderer and I felt sorry for him. |

1) Tony Gordon ( Best Corrie villain ever, so many sides & facets to him!!)
2) Jez Quigley (Genuinely scary, I loved the way Lee Boardman played him!! 3) Alan Bradley (just a generally nasty piece of work but entertaining & well acted) 4) Charlie Stubbs (Ditto) 5) John Stape (The most unfortunate 'villain' ever! Brilliantly acted!!) 6) Maya Sharma (Completely barking!!) 7) Richard Hillman (I would have been dubious about the smarmy sod right from the start, a bit like Norris was tbh!!) 6543) Tracy Barlow....the most boring one dimensional villain on any TV programme...ever!!

Stape will always be my fave, the accidental serial killer, who defied death once and caused mayhem to the street and beyond
![]() Tony Gordon deserves a mention too, what a twisted beggar he was

Charlie Stubbs is probably my favourite, but Richard Hillman has to be the most iconic.

Loved Hillman and Maya. Jez Quigley, Jon Lindsay and Alan Bradley were also believable baddies. John Stape could be entertaining at times but it started to get tedious towards the end of the story - the hospital roof jump was just ridiculous, though him coming back to kidnap Rosie again as Mr Chips was great.
Worst ones for me though have to be Tony Gordon, Karl, Rob and Callum. I never really found Tony convincing as a villain and the only periods I can remember being entertained by him were his dealings with Jed Stone and the factory explosion climax. He always seemed to get so many panto lines as well. The writing for Rob took a nosedive around the time he killed Tina and his relationship with Tracy was making her character less stale. I've not really seen the point of his recent return either. And the less said about Karl and Callum the better. If we're counting Tracy as a villain then I thought she was great circa 2002-2005. The incident with Roy being drugged and her argument with Hayley and her ongoing rivalry with Karen were brilliant. The writing was really sharp and the characters well defined. Since Karen left though, it seems they've been trying to replicate that (particularly with Steve/Becky but also at times with Michelle) and it's just not successful. The writing is also continuously cliched and predictable for her now and the whole Charlie Stubbs murder storyline has ruined anything the character once had going for her. Jack P Shepherd is a good actor but his villain-esque period could be stupid and tedious at times. He was always more convincing as a troubled kid. Honorable mention to Charlie Stubbs as Bill Ward was always convincing but I never felt like they did enough with his character before killing him off. |

Tony Gordon for me, the eyes
I loved the way we could see his vulnerable side, especially when he was with Maria. You could tell how hurt he was over the Liam and Carla affair. Other honourable mentions Maya Sharma, Jez Quigley and Richard Hillman. I found John Stape storyline utterly ridiculous |

I found John Stape storyline utterly ridiculous Those scenes after Maria found out & confronted him in his prison cell were utterly heart wrenching , likewise in the factory siege when Maria showed him the pictures of Liam on her phone!! I just LOVED that whole s/l from the very start to the very end!! As for John Stape, it was utterly ridiculous but he was so good at acting it you kind of got sucked into it (well I did at least )

Tracy Barlow may be a murderer but she is laughable when compared to Maya Sharma and Jez Quigley. |

Apparently the actress was meant to return for court scenes, but the story fell flat. Would've made sense if it was planned for summer 2005, as that was an awful period for Corrie. I think Hillman and Bradley take some beating. Callum was a terrible 'villain', not in the same mould as Quigley. |
