Google can't help me identify this song, can you?
The song was played at my gym, and their playlist is mostly Radio1 Live Lounge covers, but with the odd random song thrown in such as The Holloways - Generator, Reverend & The Makers - Heavyweight Champion of the World, The Selecter - On My Radio.
My song sounded like it was from the late 00s/early 10s by a light indie band i.e. Orson/The Feeling/The Hoosiers. It wasn't heavy or rocky - very melodic, keyboard and piano I think, not a lot of drums. I think the build up went like: "Send send, send send a message. Send send, send send a sign." and the chorus had the words: "hanging around", "one dog town", "lost and found". The songs that followed were The Saturdays covering I Need A Dollar, some chilled out metal song I'd never heard before, and then a cover of Tik Tok - which, looking at the Live Lounge artists who covered it, appears to have been by Avril Lavigne. This is what makes me think the song is from 2010-2013. I've tried to find this but it's not showing up anywhere. If you can help me in any way I would be eternally grateful

The songs that you have mentioned are on the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge Volume 6 album, but it appears that it was possibly on random as the track order is different.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...dm_ws_sp_ps_dp Amazon have 30 second tasters of each track so it might help. |

It was much mellower than Doves - Black & White Town, there was no heavy pounding of drums.
A lot of people have suggested The Thrills - One Horse Town, but it doesn't have the "send send a message" bit so it can't be that. And it was a lot more chilled out too. When I'm thinking about it in my head all I can think of is Actually It's Darkness by Idlewild - but it's definitely not that. It's calmer and happier. Any other suggestions are welcome

Roddy Hart, like a cross between "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Bret "Hit Man" Hart.
