Herbal Essences - Fresh Balance Tealicious - Gone???
Been using Herbal Essences Fresh Balance Tealicious - specially formulated for greasy roots and dry ends for a good while and found it was the only reasonably priced shampoo and conditioner which worked on my hair. I've suffered greasy hair ever since I was a teenager and while its calming down in my adulthood, it is still there.
Sadly, went to I don't know how many shops yesterday to get more shampoo and conditioner and found the shelves were bare!! No Green Fresh Balance Herbal Essences anywhere! I gave up in the end and came home and checked their website incase the inevitable had happened and alas it looks like its true - they in their infinite wisdom have decided to discontinue it - once again. They did this back when I was a teenager and I forced into buying the premium Trevor Sorbie and Charles Worthington shampoos which at that time of day were costing £5 plus a bottle! And then they decided to change their shampoos... and for years, i was using shampoo that just didn't work... it either dried it out too much, wouldn't style... would go flat. I remember once standing in the middle of Boots for hours just wanting a shampoo that worked and I was recommended the Neutrogena shampoo at that time of day... it worked for one wash... and then my hair went dry and unmanageable. I just wanted to scream. (Luckily after that I discovered the Aussie range but found that after a month or two I had always to swap the shampoos around as my hair got fed up of them after a while and Herbal was the only one with staying power that worked) Completely frustrating - always plenty if you have dry, damaged, wavy, coloured, weak or limp hair tho. Completely ridiculous no one has anything suitable in this day and age. |

Sounds to me like you have a product build up on your hair. My suggestion is that you try washing your hair with fairy liquid for first wash and then a good shampoo for second wash. Quite honestly I find that the washing up liquid washes my hair the best, leaves it bright and shining. I use it every four or five washes, using ordinary shampoo inbetween. Lots of people will disagree with me and say that it is bad for the hair, but from my own experience of over 40 years use I can only say it has been a great help to me. Maybe just do a little patch test first.
Incidentally, how bloody annoying is it when a product you love just disappears from the shelves. Happens to me so often. |

Soap Spirit is also fantastic for removing build up, and leaves your hair and scalp really clean.

It's still on the boots website on 2 for £5 - I'd stock up if I were you! |

I agree. It sounds like product build up. I always rotate my hair stuff weekly.
Anyway, Boots recommended this http://www.boots.com/en/Lee-Stafford...50ml-_1423043/ Can't say I've used it but it does seem to be aimed at your hair dilemma. Maybe check out the reviews? I hate it when companies discontinue! I'm still reeling after Colgate got rid of thier weekly deep clean toothpaste and Carmex changed the ingredients in thier cherry click stick! |

Boots used to do their own product removal shampoo, which was good. Don't know if they still do it though.

I used to use this a lot, but was never able to buy it so stopped using it and went on to Dazzling Shine. Saw Fresh Balance in Tesco reduced to clear so I'm assuming it's finito.
