That would be good news. Cruz is a particularly unpleasant individual.

CNN reporting a high turnout which they say is good news for Trump. Snow forecast later so that may deter some folk.

They said last night heavy snow in North Iowa may close school and unis which would mean Sanders voters could go out and vote.

Yes CNN covering this live now with Fox News due to begin their caucus special at 1am. Megyn Kelly will be there to give her usual impartial perspective.

A nice chance to see Trump supporters - they don't have tails or horns - many look like sweet grannies.

I wonder what the polls will show at 1am and if they are accurate

More developing news in the Clinton email scandal. Seems she kept top secret operational details on her unsecure server which could have put lives at risk.

How on earth anyone thinks she can realistically become President is beyond me. Time to draft Biden?

Ps you can also watch Donald and Ivanka on BBC 2 in ten minutes in Celebrity Apprentice USA. It's wall to wall Trump tonight.

Unusually high turnout, running out of ballot papers.

But in the Republican caucus you just write the name on a bit of paper? Maybe the Republican establishment didn't pre print enough Rubio and Bush votes and are getting worried!

Is trump still the favourite to win in iowa? How is rubio(sp) doing?

Too early to say - the Boy Wonder aka Robin has been improving in the polls recently.

I hear turnout is high. That's good news for Trump and Sanders. If the Rubio "surge" is true then it could be a bad night for Cruz.

Good the man os insane... i think the republican party hates him more than trump.

Sanders victory would be intereating, though i still think hilary will take it.

I get the feeling Hilary actually has little confidence in herself especially in Iowa and New Hampshire. She already thinks she's lost New Hampshire and they're looking at back up plans

Interesting to see if the early polls are right and Trump and Hilary are the winners due to new voter turnout.

Ah right - thanks for that. I've been jumping between Sky and CNN. I'll add in Fox.

Here comes Marco.

If Cruz finishes third that will be a massive blow to his hopes and Rubio will have taken a big step towards pushing Christie, Bush and Kasich out of the race.

CNN at a Democratic caucus site.

The Sanders supporters all look so young - most of the Hillary supporters look like they will struggle to still be alive by November.

If that poll holds true that's a great result for Marco Rubio who was only averaging 10% a week ago, Cruz losing to Rubio would be a near disaster for him in evangelical Iowa.

Are there any American news stations to watch this online please?

I've tried the CNN website but can't see any live news on there?

CNN has bad news for Cruz. He's not dominating the evangelical vote but rather splitting it pretty equally with Trump and Rubio. And seeing as Cruz polls much worse than the other two with non-evangelical Republicans...could be a grim night for Ted.
