I'm watching CNN and the presenters are pretty ropey! Twice now they've swapped % and candidates round.

Jon Snow would never do such things

I keep dipping into CNN. Half an hour ago Sanders was 7% behind Clinton. I dipped in again and it was 6%. Then 5%. Now it's 4%.

I don't think Bernie will win Iowa but he's obviously winning in the current precincts declaring.

Anyway, here's hoping.

have to say this is the first caucus I've watched live and it's pretty gripping... but this is just ONE state.... the USA must have some stamina to keep going until the actual election!

Good showing by Rubio. Trump not doing debate allowed Rubio to come through.

Sanders will declare victory no matter what the result tonight and is planning a speech later.

After the first two or three people stop caring for a while, then you get to Super Tuesday in March which people pay some attention to. And it's usually all settled by the middle to the end of April. It's actually really annoying especially when you consider some of these people started campaigns last summer.

I'm from Ohio the swingiest of swing states which meant after about May or so, every commercial you see on TV or hear on the radio is a political ad, it's hell, haha. I would love for campaigns like Canada or the UK that are limited in time, by the time we get to about Labor Day people are so overwhelmed they just want it to be over. But, now that's I've been living in a blue state I'm actually pretty excited to not see nonstop political ads.

rubio looking like being the big winner tonight even if he finishes third, if that doesn't sound too stupid

he is the one likely to inherit the trump votes if trump drops out after a disappointing result for him tonight, not saying this one result will mean trump drops out but i think trump needed the win here more than cruz or rubio to get people to take him seriously

also think rubio is the most likely to inherit votes from the other marginal candidates

Yes - and rarely reliable. Huckabee won the Republican caucus in 2008 and Santorum in 2012. Whatever happened to them?

New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada will tell the real story about where we are heading.

agreed

alot of comments on CNN about trump's lack of experience running this sort of campaign and i really think he needed the win to carry the momentum he had in the polls
