I do not want to use my password on my tab how do I remove it?

Google search says:

1. press the "Settings" icon
2. Press "Location & security"
3. Scroll down to "Set Password"
4. Enter the current password
5. Leave the New Password and Confirm new password fields blank
6. Press "Ok"

Stig thank you for the reply they did not work nowhere did is say anything about changing password,so i just did a factory reset and got rid of the password that way. Thanks once again for trying to help
