Rhodes tantrum?

Anybody thinks that Gary Rhodes was acting like a real jerk last night?
Talk about being disciplined... I think he conveniently forgot that Sam was drunk one morning and had to be sent back to her living quarters...
And I am absolutely fed up of hearing him criticising him Team JC's food when he hasn;t even tasted it! Aaron did taste it and admitted it was good.
He couldn't admit that his team was rubbish and kept criticising the blue kitchen when in actual fact they did pretty well. But what got me was when he went to Laura and said that there was no way the blue kitchen could have fed all its people before 11... exactly like a child. Appalling.

Wonder how much is put on fot the camera?
If it's not put on, then I now know why I did not like him in the first place and if it is put on, I think that little tantrum lost him a lot of support...

I cannot stand the guy.

Go on Team JC!

I like him.

He's just playing a part in a RTV programme.

Even for a RTV programme, he could have kept his kitchen open last night. That was purely selfish on his part...

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, he makes me cringe!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I've lost the little respect I had for him.

He did.It was JC who stormed off in a temper.

If I was in his team I'd have been well pissed off that he closed the kitchen. It was probably a bit of a shock to him that Aaron was voted off instead of Simon and nobody is saying he should have served sub-standard food but a good leader would have done what he could to muster up some team spirit and keep cooking until they did get it right.

What programme did you watch last night?

Gary closed his kitchen and some of his customers did not get fed at all. Is that not selfish? And then he kept criticising JC's food? I find that hypocritical.
What I don't like is that he's not himself (at least I hope he's not!). JC does not play up to the camera as much. GR could not be himself more. GR is trying to act as the bad guy, but he only manages to alienate himself from the others.

Kelly to win!

That was in response to Fannianni, by the way...

Kayess - totally agree with you!

Thanks e101...

I think fannianni was talking about last night's live coverage i.e. events which will (hopefully!) be shown on tonight's ITV1 show.

I would have shut the kitchen myself. I don't see a problem with that in Hells Kitchen as the customers are all on a freebee.

If I was at a resturant and paying good money, it might be a different matter.

Anyway, its good entertainment.

Oh and on the point of is GR has tasted the other kitchens cooking. I would say that GR's experience would tell him if the food is good or not. So its not upto his standard I suppose. Thats not to say that the blue teams food is not good, just not uptp GR extream standards.

And thats nearly all I have to say about that

What I want to know is this: would anybody go out of their way to eat at a restaurant run by any of this shower of no hopers?

They may be able to get a service out under the watchful eye of their chef and with the help of the other professional chefs in each kitchen, but I would love to see them cope on their own.

I am not even going to mention the 1001 other jobs that go into making a succesful restaurant that they have not even thought of.

The series should have been called 'Mission Impossible', or has that already been done!?

I'd have to agree. You don't learn how to run a restaurant in just over 2 weeks. However, I think it makes great viewing, even if it's just for JC!!!

Do you think we'll get the follow up programmes......'Kelly goes bankrupt in less than two weeks' and 'Sam and whotsisname split up after an unfortunate trip to the GU clinic'

Now those would be worth watching!!!

I think we need a poll.....Hands up all those who think Sam and Aaron did the dirty deed?

I vote yes.

Definitely worth watching, although I suspect all these "newly famed" people will soon fall in the list of B-Celebrities and we might just find them again next year in the jungle, if they're lucky, or on one of these "100 greatest/funniest/stupidest TV moments" or something similar [sigh]

You're right, of course, but I do hope we get some sort of follow up before they disappear into the realms of 'Z'list history. Surely the production company will want to squeeze the winner of their £250k investment for all they can??
