Me too.

BTW if anyone is interested, we tried Mary Berry's express pesto pasta last night, yummy and very "express" - I omitted the broccoli and stirred in some spinach though

Like her tip about chucking the chopped onion in with the pasta water

steak and chips tonight

Still waiting to hear about the boiled onion

I did thanks TC. Jane Asher was Miss Havisham, it was a good production. The Thai food was very nice too.

Making up a batch of vegetable chilli, one portion of which I'll be having tonight along with some cheap frying steak I have left over chopped up into bits and thrown in with it.

Will freeze the rest in portions and either have them on their own or with whatever meat I have in at the time. I know it's not the same as cooking the meat in the chilli as far as flavour goes, but this kind of thing is something I've taken to lately cooking for one. Been doing the same with vegetable curries and vegetable stews too.
