No but wouldn't be surprised to see it being a option in the future.

Don't you need a Amazon Fire product to download. I know you used to, thats why I bought the Fire Tablet. Not everything is available for download btw.

Not any more. This certainly was the case for quite a long time, but these days the iOS and Android apps allow offline downloads for Amazon Prime.

This makes Prime a really attractive addition to also have. Sure, many titles may also be on Netflix, and Netflix via Smart DNS has a huge library, but there is something really handy about offline downloads, especially for people who travel a lot for work, and those commuting.

^^ agree one of the reasons I bought a Fire Tablet, was the offline viewing. So now when I travel one device has my films/TV, books and music.

Don't you have to pay for a year at a time with Amazon Prime? That would be a big turn off for me, no matter how good the offer was.

I accidentally joined it, (clicked the wrong box ordering something once) and I was able to cancel without charge up to a month afterwards. They don't charge until 30 days after signing up I think ?

The annual payment includes free delivery of products you buy including the streaming service. You can subscribe to Amazon Instant Video monthly paying £5.99. I use Amazon sparingly so I tend to save up a series or films to watch over a 30 day period and give it a rest for a few months. One advantage though is that if you haven't used the service for a few months you sometimes are offered a 30 day free trial.
