Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition OS Update

After owning my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition for nearly 2 years, it has just updated its OS to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Maybe others have had this update for some time, but I was using the tablet whilst it was connected to its charger (which I don't normally do) and up popped a message indicating an update was ready to install. Anyway, all went well and so far I've found no problems. Equally, I've found little to get excited about although the device does seem to shut down more quickly than before.

Got my update today. Few things I don't like, but all quite minor in the scheme of things I think - don't like the new blue interface, liked the black version especially at night; copying and pasting from an emailing doesn't work the same way - can't paste straight into internet browser - and if I use the web search from within the email it only gives me an option of using the google app or dolphin (which i don't use very often); the side bar won't allow the same apps as before.

Sure I'll find ways around this, or get used to it

Fortunately, I don't use copy/paste on a tablet (far too fiddly) and I never use the sidebar. I do like the redesigned battery charge graphic which shows the percentage charge all the time - especially useful as it gets close to 100%. Not found any show stoppers - yet!
