I'm a bit surprised at that decision.

Noooooo, I meant Tali's client

Oops. I was distracted by hot builder.
How the **** did Ann get through when she failed to finish at least twice??

She certainly has the passive-aggressive cutesy exterior coupled with a core of steel thing going on.
She's terrifying, very irritating, but mostly terrifying

But she did deserve to go through.

Oh I like Oliver Heath, he's very sweet

Thrilled for Anne, I felt Tallie was a bit too confident all the way through that episode.

Her blatant competitiveness was a bit off putting.

Yep and she just seemed too comfortable all episode.

I'm glad Anne went through. Not very excited about the line-up next week I have to say. I want either Frankie or Anne to win, but I fear Sarah might do it as Daniel seems to love her.

I think the difference was all of Tallie's rooms were competent, but ultimately a bit bland, they lacked anything that made them stand out. I do find Anne deeply irritating, but I can see why she got through, mind you, I wouldn't have put her through on first first room, the Japanese ( ) mess that she did.

They really do have to give Anne a 'contemporary, clean lines, no frilly stuff or small woodland creatures' brief next week though

Was it my imagination or was there an air of tension between the contestants this week that hasn't been there in previous weeks ?

This was apparently clear for everyone who wasn't distracted by a hot builder...

Contestants were so poor this week.

I felt so sorry for all the clients this week. They were invariably polite, but must have been bitterly disappointed with the abominations that were made of their rooms.

So many horrors, the purple room, the poorly executed Japanese room, the awful room with the tree lamp, so many awful designs.

I would imagine for future series they will find it really difficult to get volunteers, or maybe there is a clause where they will re-paint etc afterwards if the clients HATE the deisgns.

I would not let Anne near my house. God those hideous cushions, with the wooly tails, not to mention the God awful wallpaper in the kitchen, I am not sure which was worse, the imitation wood, or the woodland creatures??

The finalists next week are of a very poor standard, I think it will be a question of who messes up the least, it really is disappointing how low the design is, last year was far superior.

Talia was not perfect either, but at least she had a few things I liked, the lamp and the cheese grater pots. But her sitting area was awful, and the general colour scheme was a fail.

This stupid challenge needs to be scrapped for the next series.

Too right. It's childish and totally unnecessary. Plus, the results are always horrifyingly awful.

I didn't find her to be a likeable person at all. She was always a bit too pleased with herself, and I can't imagine that the judges warmed to her.

Hot builder loved her said she was lovely, I think Anne was far more competetive , but it was done in a passive aggressive way

Not just you, I've thought the standard's not as good as previous series. Good point about the budget maybe not going as far.
You could also argue that 'good taste' costs nothing. Totally agree with you both on standards this year. Is it just me, or are many of the contestants this year a bolshie lot doing what they want and disregarding what the home owner actually asked for.

I wish we could revisit the rooms a month later to see how the owners are getting on with the redesigned rooms, and see if their views have changed at all.

Everyone ready for the final week? Lovely run this time, I'm sure it has been on for longer.

Will Frankie be looking fabulous dahling?!
Will we see lovely builder?!
Will the judges actually find no fault with a room?!
Will Helena Bonham Carter's long lost twin actually complete a room?
