I am so pleased I will never have to look at Lucy weeping again nor have to listen to her excruciating whiny, teeth-clenching voice ever again. Arghhhhhh!

I love the concept of this programme, but gawd! some of the work, the judging (?) and the commentary was horrendous. Fabulous locations and houses, adored guest judges and architectural history lessons, but talent? Um, no.

And guess what, the clients loved it!

Just got back from holiday yesterday ( Southern Africa, thanks for asking ) Spent last night and this afternoon catching up on the last 6 programmes I'm now going to catch up with your posts.....starting from page 26
I never took to Sarah and wanted Lucy to win ( she comes from Colchester like me ) even though she irritated me with the tears. The shoddy lampshade lost it for her . Kelly Hoppen is 56

Yes I got the impression that Sophie was outnumbered on this one. She was certainly the only one to point out the homeowners issues with Sarah while the others were in raptures over the drawing room.
I actually bothers me a lot how the judges can just ignore the homeowner concerns, on Project Runway they usually give a real dressing down to designers who ignore the client when they do challenges that involve clients.

However I do think the show doesn't seem to have the designer work with the homeowner in advance as they would in reality, they're given a vague brief and told to come up with something.

What I also found amazing was that on twitter so many "designers" seemed to be defending Sarah railroading her ideas on the client. How do these people make money because no way would I pay someone to force stuff I didn't like on me.

Sarah was guilty of this before with that hideous green room she did back in the heats. I reckon she'd be a nightmare to have as a designer.

My favourite room of the whole contest was Frankie's Steampunk/Victoriana/Mid-Century Modern in the heats. For such a random brief he did a great job on it.

Yeah, I think so too.

I was thinking about last years competition, the room that stuck out to me was the art studio/guest room. They were in Cornwall I think, in a little fishing town. It was done in a lovely deep green with the artists work on the wall and a really cool studio set up. I loved that room and still remember it, i'm struggling to remember any of this years rooms, except Frankie's steam punk inspired one.
That room was fantastic, I was talking to my dad about it only this week when we were discussing the new series. Wasn't it the year before though (2014) as I was in hospital and watching it there, I didn't watch any during 2015 (or did they not have one last year?)

That's the one where he did the bespoke desk with the guillotine?

It's just a rehash of all the older shows so there's nothing new.

Disappointing I thought we were going to learn something
I still think the judges should do the recycle challenge each week.....put their money where their mouths are

I know this is the older thread, but we've been posting about series 4 on this thread http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showt...195744&page=17

I'm enjoying this, but then I really like these type of shows.
