I said exactly the same thing a few weeks ago, i actually think some presenters don't actually mind not having any calls. I also quoted an article from Moz Dee explaining that for talkSPORT the strategy from the board was to have less callers on ranting and more experts and commentators. He said that he wanted to create headlines rather than have people commenting on other peoples.

Does anyone actually bother to ring in to the Jonny Gould feat. Ash show? Whenever I've heard it no-one rings in. Seems more like a talk-in between the two brothers!

If he got that gig regularly it's about the only thing that would drive me away from LBC at this time of day to listen to talkRADIO instead he'd be superb doing a topical news-related breakfast show on this station.

He's just a) better known, via his LBC and BBC London shows, and b) a better presenter than the people he's filling in for. He tells social media when he'll be on and he actually asks for calls, giving the number clearly rather than as part of a repeated half hearted spiel where you can't even make the number out it's said so fast. All the callers I've heard to Max are well known LBC/BBC London callers who are listening cos it's Max and he's spoken to loads of time before, and go back to the other two stations when the regular presenter gets back.

There's a so called Comedian called Aaron Barschak who is referred to as a caller, but I suspect they call him, as he's probably a friend of Ash, who they speak to alot. But apart from him - no. The only interest is when Ed, the producer from New Zealand comes on, who is far more intelligent than either Gould brother.

Dr Pam is the lady who nearly killed Clive Bull with a purple Quality Street once. Other than that she is very nice though.
If I recall, Iain used to play a clip of Dr Pam saying something like, "Why don't we talk about sex all the time?"

If it wasn't for Julia Whaley would do it for me in this slot too but seeing as I like her so much I'd prefer to see him taking over the breakfast show and moving Rossey to the weekends.
I definitely think they'll be some re-organisation there when Ruppie's helicopter lands at Talk Towers very soon.
