Which makes you wonder if the utterly terrible studios were always temporary?

I did wonder that myself as most of the equipment put into the new talkradio studio was old talksport stuff. However talksport have only recently been given a full makeover and Virgin had all new equipment in there studios.

Please don't let talkradio become SUNtalk.

He said it would be an extra 45 minutes drive, though, so I assumed the new studios would be nowhere near central London.

That suggests they could be moving to the Sky centre in Osterley.

But Iain lives near Windsor so moving to Osterley would cut his driving.

I thought Iain said "up to" 45 minutes which could be more an indication of the unpredictable nature of London traffic.

My money would be on the News UK building - unless they own something else based in London?

Agreed. I for one will not be listening if it does.
Wouldn't surprise me if Jon Gaunt returned at one stage.
I don't expect The Mother of all talk shows to be around much longer.....

Con and Victoria went to a gig on Tuesday night. Inevitably, this was designated as a date by Jon and Con but not Victoria. There was an update on the "date" yesterday with Jake, but as Jon came back today, he wanted to know what happened himself.

Victoria said that Con had been nice and bought drinks and used his deal to get her free cloakroom access, but complained that Con was on the phone to another woman much of the time. She used that as evidence to prove that it wasn't a date. But Con insisted that he's a player.

I also thought of that, but you can walk from Hatfields to London Bridge station in about 15 minutes.

One can only hope...

I am not sure talkRADIO would necessarily want to go too far in that direction as it would be competing directly with LBC if it did, and without being on FM, I don't think they'd have a prayer. Perhaps it's possible that they will see their being different as one of their pluses.

There you go again misrepresenting the whole of LBC's output! I'm too bored to point out yet again how many presenters are not right wing when you clearly can't be bothered to accept facts.

I have it on good authority* they are moving in with Peak FM in Chesterfield.

get a grip La Rhumba and stop looking for an argument where there isn't one. he never mentioned anything about left and right wing! I assumed by direction he was talking about the style of the station, i.e. current affairs phone ins all day, every day. i don't think anyone in their right mind would ever suggest LBC has all right wing presenters!

I agree with James Whale's rant about politicians expecting to be provided with information about what they will be expected to talk about during interviews. I think his stance may explain why he was replaced on LBC by Iain Dale, who is much more likely to comply with pre-interview requests of politicians.

Some people wouldn't mind more current affairs if the presenters shared their perspective. So if they are far-left they would want more presenters like George Galloway rather than more presenters like JHB.

Did i hear rightly on JHB's show today that she said Jon Holmes has been in with Paul Ross interviewing James May ? If its true i bet that wasn't Awkward at all given Jon on his show bringing up what Paul likes to do in cars.

That's starting to look better as a schedule.

I hope they'll release the Xmas schedule early, and I hope they'll do some proper festive shows, and not ignore it like LBC does these days.

From Mike Parry's twitter feed looks as if we maybe treated to an old skool Clash of The Titans show. Someone asked him there was going to be one and he said something is in the pipeline. Iain is also doing NYE and has said he wants to do something special.

George Galloway, Julia Hartley-Brewer, Mike Parry and Jon Holmes chaired by Iain Lee for me.

Bum, I forgot Jake was off this week - he did say during his last show. His is the one show I really look forward to - a proper 'appt to listen' for me.

I've just listened to Friday's Jon Holmes show and they played out the joint interview Paul and Jon did at the end of Paul's show earlier that morning. Paul and Jon sounded very friendly and Paul said nice things about Jon's show at the end. I firmly believe that everyone understands it is all in the name of comedy and they get on perfectly fine.

JHB came into the studio afterwards so all three of them were there at the same time, and for some reason JHB sat down on top on Jon! JHB is a tall Amazonian woman (5ft 11 I think) whereas Jon is 5ft 4. All three of them must get on fine.
