No, March 21st is when it launches. We should expect the full line up any time now.

Even though I have the option off recording the stream (if it is possible of capturing it) im hoping shows become available on iTunes so I can down load Iain's shows and listen the next day on the train to work.

He's confirmed a podcast will be available. The question is, how much of the show will make it on to the podcast. I'm sure we'd all like the full 180 minutes, or maybe just without ads and news, but not sure we'll be that lucky, hence why a few are planning to record the stream.

I thought he has said that there would only be a "best of" short podcast, at least to begin with?

There will be a daily best of. I'm working on a full show pod but...I don't want to get sacked too early.

yeah, think I saw 25 minute podcasts were what Iain was going to bring out to start with. I'd pay £2 a month for Iain's full shows never mind any of the other presenters if Talk Radio went down the LBC route of charging to download full shows.

Seeing as talkSPORT.com has provided a Listen Again service for the main AM station in pretty much the same form since the week after the 2010 World Cup (they've altered the website's audio player once, but that's about it), there's no reason to suggest they wouldn't provide the same service for talkSPORT 2 or talkRADIO. I'm guessing it might not be possible for them to do this for Virgin Radio UK though, given the potential issues with musical rights.

yes that seems reasonable, however I was talking about a download service akin to what LBC offer removing the adverts etc-- but the listen again feature will be great as a 1 AM finish for Iain Lee is a bit late for me.

The problem with the LBC podcasts (admittedly it was over a year since I last subscribed) are some take ages to appear on the website and a few seem like they've been chopped by the person that makes the tea rather than edited smoothly. If talk radio shows up on radio feeds uk (which lets you record stations and download to you're phone sort of like iTunes ) then I'm gonna do that, as you said 1am is too late for me as well.

Doesn't that use DAR.fm, which now costs $40 a year? I had actually set up DAR.fm as a backup back in 2011, but the day I was about to use it, Iain's Absolute show ended, so I never got to use it. It was free back then but I would only have ever used it as a backup because I didn't like the way it chops shows up into little bits and I noticed gaps between the segments. That's what talkSPORT Listen Again does too, but having just tested putting segments together, it sounds virtually seamless.

Iain Lee's former producer Katherine Boyle has tweeted that it's her last day at BBC Three Counties tomorrow, leading to much speculation on Twitter...

Not met my new producer yet. That's always key for me. #talkRADIO

I've invested in Replay Radio from Applian in the end. Cost about £20 I think, but seems to work seamlessly on the Nick Abbot shows I've tested it on.

Ive got a dar fm account and don't mind the fee, the advantage it has is you don't have to be at your pc
to record anything they do it for you so you can download to your phone anywhere as long as you've got a connection.

That's a pretty neat feature.

Plus, because it records in 15 minute segments you can chase play a show after it's stated as long as you give it about 30 or 40 mins after the show has started.

There appears to be test output for talkRADIO now on the three UTV stations.

Any clues on new shows or presenters? I can't get any reception.
