JHB came into the studio afterwards so all three of them were there at the same time, and for some reason JHB sat down on top on Jon! JHB is a tall Amazonian woman (5ft 11 I think) whereas Jon is 5ft 4. All three of them must get on fine.”

I know Jon and JHB get on well and any comments are just the act however when Paul on his show talked about his past he said something like "Still 2 years on people are still taking about it, Jon Holmes regularly likes to remind everyone and bring it up again daily .... but hey thats his stick"

He sounded pretty peeved about it at the time which made me think there was some beef from Paul.

It still gets mentioned probably a couple of times a week, in a very supportive way, by Jon Holmes on his show, and I've got to put up with it. He kind of has a go about it, even though it was two years ago. But still that's his shtick, that's what he does, that's fair enough. I did it, it's my fault”

I see what you mean. You can never be 100% sure what is going on inside someone's head and maybe Paul was just being a pro. Jon did say Paul was very nice on his show in the afternoon and it sounded sincere.

Victoria: "I'm not going to have sex with Cornelius, Chris in Braintree! That's not on the table."
Jon: "So where are you having it?"

I largely agree, but it does annoy me how he asks a guest a question and no matter what they say he just carries on his own line of thought, completely ignoring their contribution.

No Iain Lee tonight. Still will give Bob Mills a listen. How will he cope with Nigel?

So there I was tonight having a shower and listening to James Whale (with Ash) when a blast from the past phoned up. Wilfred from County Down...who must be incredibly old by now...rang in. He sounded similar to 15 years ago...at one point though I did question if it was him!

Was it Wilfred or wasn't it Wilfred?, I've listened to it twice now and I'm still not sure, yes it sounded like him in places but then it didn't at other times. My guess is it was him but I wouldn't be prepared to put money on it it could be just a damn good wind-up.

Those of you that can remember him have a listen below and see what you think.

I've got some James Whale shows on DAB and AM from 2000 and Wilfred appears. Comparing the two...it does and at the same time does not sound like him. If I was edging my bets I might be inclined to agree with Tommy Boyd all them years ago. He once (everytime Wilfred rang in actually) said he was an act...I wonder! Seriously, he must be a walking corpse by now...and with a mobile phone...really? The mystery continues! Funny how Jake Yapp followed the show...he's good at impressions right?! On listening to your clip again I think it was a fake and James knew it. Sadly...Wilfred I think is long gone...6 feet under!

Yes you could be right because I too have doubts it was actually him now after thinking more about it lol. Wilfred would not be hard to impersonate, in fact he'd be really easy with that voice, accent and his mannerisms, there's plenty of people out there with the gall to try it too.

The beginning of James Whale's show tonight was very entertaining with Ash, Victoria and the shower drama. The random chat with the man on the train who handed his phone to a Bulgarian who was reading a book was fantastically random. If you missed it, I recommend listening again.

Julia had her Ian Collins moment with that interview with the gutless Sarah Olney.

It's been all over the news & it's putting TR on the map.

Indeed, however it seems that the regular posters on this thread are more interested in trivialities. I thought it would be alive with comment...

Excellent work from JHB. Just the kind of publicity TR need to be generating. I've seen their name and logo in the papers and on the telly over the last 24 hrs.

The best free advertising TR could ever have wished for.

Hartley-Brewer had a open goal because Sarah Olney was so pathetic.

If she can't stand up to some tame questions from a radio host on the telephone, she'll have no chance in a live face-to-face interview or something like Question Time.

Olney was acutely embarrassing & I wonder what those who voted for her in Richmond Park must be thinking?
