Personally I’m pleased with the line-up announced so far and going from these presenter’s previous form these could be complementary shows to what LBC is doing at the same time (right leaning JHB vs left leaning JO’B, current affairs topic driven Ian Collins vs a lighter Iain Lee).
I suggested Paul Ross previously so thought it wouldn’t happen once he moved to early breakfast on BBC London. I’m a fan of Iain Lee so am looking forward to him being back on air and late night radio needs something a bit lighter in tone during the week. I also wonder if Galloway is unsuccessful in his Mayoral bid whether he'll end up doing more shows. Be interesting to see who else fills the schedule. Several of my Jewish friends have said to me they find it interesting scheduling on talk radios part FRIDAY evening (start of shabat ) Possibly to avoid upsetting the community with his views on Palestine maybe ?? |

Does say he can't broadcast for the first six weeks due to the mayoral elections

I was expecting he would be a late starter due to the purdah rules (purdah said in George's purr/burr) - in fact I think it was one of my predictions for 2016! |

So I'm thinking they'll have an internet stream as well as dab, would be great if they have a catch up service also.

and maybe on the website itself No word of it going on freeview or sky though As for catch up I used to listen to the overnight Mike Graham show on Talksport via the free listen again service they have/had on their website It's a long while since I listened so don't know if they still do it for nothing LBC as I'm sure you know have a podcast service which costs about £2 a month so a free listen again service would make them a lot of friends !! |

Not £2 a month if you record the stream, that's how I listen LBC 99% of the time, I'll probably do the same for Iain lee & GG.

I've got a sneaky suspicion we might hear Mr Lee on breakfast rather than at night.
Just waiting for Charlie Wolf to be announced! Personally, I can't see Mr Boyd being involved. I think he's done with his broadcasting days and travelling to and from London is too much effort. |

Iain is definetly on late evenings at 10 according to the article on radio today and also on the Talksport website
Sorry! I think that is his best slot. |

I know Paul Ross was on the original Talk Radio but he seems a singularly uninspired choice for the breakfast show. His BBC London breakfast efforts since then have not exactly troubled the RAJARs.
In general its predictable with Iain Lee I expect to do well but again Alan Robson on Metro radio hosts the most listened to show in that slot at least in the northeast. Be great if Danny Baker got the afternoon slot although unlikely. Also will they do specialist shows on say travel, cooking or health?. |

I wonder how long it will be before the new Talkradio morphs into TalkFootball. I'll give it 5 years. The original Talkradio surprisingly didn't work out, so why should this version be different?

I'm really looking forward to the launch. One of the key things of note is talkRADIO being positioned as personality led. Talk format in the UK is painfully short of personality.

Talkradio will probably end up being on satellite services. The ads need to be different, from the ones talkSPORT broadcast as they are awful.

Much like with Global so long as the adverts are legal they won't really care what they are for |

I think the show would do ok with a co host like Carol McGiffin but on his own he is at best average. Its unlikely to turn listeners away from Nick Ferrari or Chris Moyles.

2. The USA and Australia both have a number of news/lifestyle talk-based stations. Why shouldn't Britain? 3. 21 years have passed. The format has become more established in Britain. The management set-up is much more professional now. There's no reason why it shouldn't work. |
