Florence! This is amazing haha

Brilliant - he just started playing a Florence and the Machine track and made a joke about it being a force of habit because Radio X plays it every 10 minutes.

A podcast feed for Iain's show to stick into the iPhone would be much appreciated.

You'd never get that on LBC. 😮

Great start to the show. Criticism of the use of the 0844 number and the streaming sound quality.

That is exactly my feeling - he seems a bit wasted on afternoons.

A checklist of brilliance:

Text in: what would you put in Paul Ross' mouth
0844 mockery
Radio X micky taking
MP2 streaming
Mention of LBC haha

Has he brought along some of the team from Radio X?

Not familiar with John Holmes but the first half four has me laughing out loud surely he would have been better suited at drive time.

I was half hoping that Jon Holmes would be rubbish so I didn't have to catch up with 2 shows a day.

Yes it does which is fab.

1. Go to the talkRADIO Listen Again website page >>bit.ly/1UJ7JiB <<
2. Click "Listen Again" on the show you want from the list.
3. Click on the half hour segment you want.
3. Right click on the black window screen and choose from list "Save Video As" [don't worry it'll save it as an audio file]
5. Choose the folder you want to save it to, you can at this point re-name it if you want which will make it easier later if your downloading more segments.
6. And that's it, instant recordings to play any time later.

Love it.

I kinda knew he'd be good, but that first half hour was epic.

I'll repeat what I said earlier, Paul Ross launched the station, his show wasn't bad as a first show, but Talk Radio came alive at 1pm.

Pretty sure the feeling will be much the same at 10pm tonight.

Funny chat with the boss about the contract negotiations - considering the late addition to the promotion loop, possible closed to the truth!

I liked his LBC stuff in 2006/7 but what he's doing now is not much like the synopsis on the talkRADIO website.

We're going to get the same news bulletins, sports news and probably same inane adverts it's unavoidable it comes with the package but we don't get Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur football clubs rammed down our gullets 24 hours a day it'll do for me.

I meant on the IPhone app, the method you mention is what I used to do when I used to download GG's a few years back.

Yes sorry AAC+. Is there much that isn't compatible these days? At least they could offer a choice.
