That's weird why that Evoke model can't pick the station up!
I have an evoke-1 and found it. Mind you, wouldn't have had I not read your advice re holding the button for 2 secs to retune!
Enjoyed JHB this morning although she came over slightly desperate but perhaps first day nerves. Tuned in this afternoon to Jon Holmes and remembered then why I used to switch him off on LBC. All a bit teenagey for me.

Been listening on & off all day and i like it. The only thing i have a problem with is the phone number for callers, which will obviously result in a lack of callers. This is a big problem afaic, the callers are as important on a talk radio station as the presenters.
Sort this out and make the calls cheap or free and TR will probably become my most listened to radio station.

Been listening on and off all day. Enjoyed the new to me broadcasters Jon Holmes and Sam Delaney both a breath of fresh air. Also nice to hear Julia Hartley Brewer back on air.

A welcome addition of choice to the speech stations with the already excellent LBC,Talksport and Radio4 and competition for the dreadful Radio5.

I've popped together a rough and ready podcast feed for Holmes and Lee for my own use. Caution - may break your podcast app!

Feedback welcome. If they work (or not) let me know. I'll extend to other programmes.
thanks now got jon holmes on. I cannot believe they have not got a full listen again and a better audio stream. This is so disappoing. Thanks for taking the time to stick these up but If this is the quality they are broadcasting at they are not going to last long I fear. Audio sound quality is key with online radio these days.

They've been doing highlights of the day since 7.10 and they are now repeating the Severn Tunnel debate from Jon Holmes.

You will be able to download the show in half hourly sections (see my links from earlier today) or use the podcast feed above to download the six files in your favourite podcast program.

i agree. i sent em a tweet about it. 0844 numbers to call a newly launched station is a huge turn off.

TalkRadio will be discussing pay issues in tennis this hour.
For a few minutes in the most shallow way using the wrong terms (men play 5 set games - it's matches!!!).

TS 1 and even 5Live make this school kid error but it comes across as unprofessional and lazy.

So for me, they mentioned equal pay but you couldn't call what they did discussion.

If that's the level of the content, I'm off elsewhere.

On Delaney, he's been a stand-in on Talksport 1 for a while, especially on H&J when one of them is away and he loves the sounds of his own voice and anecdotes which have you waiting for something interesting or a punch line but you'll be waiting a while as one never arrives.

I heard him set up the political issue at least twice but didn't hear a single caller ringing in to debate it.

I know it's day 1 and I'll always listen to Galloway but so far it's all a bit too much noise and no substance.

Yes I was pressing the autotune button but not holding it down for 2 seconds something as simple as this might cost some people a brand new radio if they don't know.

Been listening most of the day. Surely John Holmes should be on drive time instead of Delaney.

I was wondering why he was talking about MP2. He obviously knew enough technical issues about the sound quality enough to talk in those terms. For those who don't know, MP2 is used for DAB and the sound for DVB digital television (such as Freeview) and is a less efficient codec than MP3. But what is the relevance of MP2 when were getting a 32 kbps MP3 stream and are now getting a 48 kbps stream? Can someone explain what's going on here?
I listened this morning on my car radio via iPhone to Paul Ross. It sounded very similar to medium wave I must say, BUT on the drive home I could tell instantly that they've upgraded it if only slightly. It sounded much better, and then I read on here that they've changed the stream. I've also seen that they've done the same with TalkSport2 also. Well done Wireless Group!

Seems someone is standing in for James Whale on BBC Essex. Can the other stations take the competition I wonder?
I wouldn't bother looking for James Whale for the rest of the week, the awful Kath Melandri is sitting in for him.

Just replied to a tweet about cartoons by Paul Ross. Been asked if I'd like to be on the show tomorrow to talk about them! I've declined.

If the Wireless Group put TalkRadio on the freeview platform or even swapped Talksport with it on there they would probably double the audience overnight .And before anyone moans Talksport can be picked up on D1 so it's available to all already

Wonder if it will be still going in a year ? Or if the wireless group will sell anymore stations ? As will it ever make a profit ?

TalkSport 2 must be more costly than TalkRadio. I hope it is still going, but I expect it will evolve.

They're mad highlight 7p per min call charges when at launch they depend on creating a caller base. It's madness.
Jon Holmes was the stand out shiw for me today. But I haven't herd Iain Lee yet.

Been dipping in and out all day, nothing grabbed my attention, except Jon Holmes.
Strangely never been a fan of his work before, either on LBC, BBC6, or XFM, but found myself enjoying what I heard today.
Looking forward to the icing on the cake that is Iain Lee (and hopefully Kath) in 50 minutes...
