Aside from the fact it all sounds like unprocessed arse, this talkRADIO is pretty good isn't it?
Decent mix of stuff, some I like, some I don't but even so, week 1 pretty much done, and I'm happy with it! |

On a slight tangent, although it had become more and more obvious on 'Vernon Kaymaster' , the first episode of Jon Holmes' 'Paul Rossmaster' makes it pretty clear he does not like Moyles

I'm looking forward to Bob Mills tonight and intrigued by what his show will look like.

Bizarrely, and I hadn't noticed it until now, only 2 out of the 3 hours of the car/technology programme from yesterday was repeated today. They cut out the technology hour, and that is why the name of the show is different on Sundays.

I didn't listen as cars are not my thing, but I had no idea they were repeating a show on two days running. That's disappointing to hear.

The Listen Again links are still in GMT so if that's still the case tomorrow, will that screw up the full show podcast feeds set up for Iain and Jon?

Howard Hughes Unexplained Show is absolutely as great and listenable as I expected it to be. It seems odd listening on radio again to it having spent such a long time listening to his podcasts. His podcasts are some of the best podcasts I've ever listened to for pure professionalism that comes over. Plus no adverts, which is the only drag now it's back on radio after a decade away, and he says he's even broadcasting from the same studio that he left back in 2006 remarkably.
You don't have to agree with all the stories and anecdotes to appreciate Howard's show. If anyone here is new to this show tonight then I'd highly recommend checking out his podcast back catalogue on his Unexplained website or iTunes from the past few years with some great guests.....and a few dubious weirdo's I'll not deny, and I'm sure he himself would agree. The 10pm to 1am slot on TalkRadio has proved highly listenable.

Thankfully the ad breaks aren't as long as those on Talksport. Sometimes you could go for a bath and they'd still be playing the ads
![]() What's more, at one point it went from adverts to trailer and back to adverts...! Very annoying. |

Thanks for the info. I wonder if that's permanent, or just until they get some more presenters lined up? Petrie Hosken has just left LBC... Hmmm, I wonder...??

I sincerely hope not. TalkRadio can do far better than Petrie Hosken.

I can't imagine 5live or LBC providing such. It's something different and certainly better than yet another 3 hours of amiable chit-chat of whatever happens to be in the news. |

I presume you have to host the links that convert the talkRADIO links into a podcast feed, isn't there some sort of online service where anyone could just put the listen again link into an address bar and it would create a feed so anyone could create their own feed to any talkRADIO show to download into a podcast app?
I've updated the feeds for the GMT / BST issue and added two new feeds. There may be some issues with last week's programmes if you're using for the first time as the app is now assuming BST. http://podcasts.mywebcommunity.org/lee.php http://podcasts.mywebcommunity.org/holmes.php NEW: http://podcasts.mywebcommunity.org/hughes.php http://podcasts.mywebcommunity.org/jaye.php Just a reminder these feeds are unsupported and unofficial and merely point at the individual mp3 files hosted by TalkRADIO itself. Any issues, let me know! |

![]() I'm going to listen to the David Icke podcast now as I'd like to check up on what he's up to these days. I still remember that first David Icke interview on Wogan in the 90s with Terry poking fun at him and the audience laughing, it was very uncomfortable to watch. |

JHB's show this morning was the best so far in terms of the topics and contributions of guests. The bouncy castle debate had gueests from both sides.
I do wish they'd stop discussing sports topics. Now it's the boxing. That one has been covered so extensively on TalkSport that extracts from an interview on that station were played in the Talk Radio news (not the sports news). |

![]() ![]() ![]() I stopped listening to overnight radio when talkSPORT went 24 hour talkPREM and with only Nick Margerrison on LBC and Dotun Adebayo on BBC Radio 5 at the time I gave up listening to overnight radio and started downloading tonnes of podcasts from everywhere and listened to them instead on my MP3 player. I joined LBC's excellent podcast service, started downloading stuff from Radio 5 and other stations and even documentaries on YouTube and I found it all great listening far better than the boring tripe radio stations were pumping out at night and no adverts or news breaks etc. I've never looked back since and that's the complete truth. But I have to say this new talkRADIO station has really opened horizons there's stacks of stuff I like and can save I just hope it lasts [the station] and doesn't go under for whatever reason. On a scale of 10. talkSPORT = 1 talkRADIO = 8 |
