Most people wouldn't want their colleagues having digs at them in public.”

If she's not in on the joke, which of course she may be, then it would almost certainly be construed as bullying.

Having watched part of the interview with JHB and George Galloway I didn't think there was any winner I found it a bit sad that two people from the same station were arguing in public over something so trivial even though I understand to GG it wasn't but it really was.

For all we know the whole thing may have been staged as publicity as of course George is joining the station soon. Maybe even the previous Twitter argument was fake.

I chose not to listen to the GG hour. I haven't listened to any of the mayoral hours. I expect it was staged. JHB's show isn't usually filmed. GG also posted ott hostile tweets about JHB before the interview, presumably to wind up his followers into listening. The end of the interview also seems to be a bit of a scene.

Presumably listeners had the opportunity to call in,. Like Nigel Farage, GG has a loyal following, but I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't reflected in the number of calls.

Have to say I wondered the same thing when I saw it had been filmed...

I sometimes check the Twitter feed during Jon's show to check if I can see the Tweets that have been read out. Jon does get a fair number of Tweets and a lot of the time most, if not all, of the are read out. I assume the ones I can't see were texted in, or perhaps made up by the team.

Rich, you star! That would be great. It would be wonderful to be able to cherry-pick some good podcasts from the Howard Hughes archive. Yes, I enjoyed all the previous podcasts you recommended. But please, only when you have time mate, no hurry. Thanks again.

Excellent discussion about Hillsborough on TalkRadio. The first caller's experience was quite interesting. He was in Sheffield at the right time for witnessing big events in the city's history. It was harder for people to find out what was going on without mobile phones and the internet. The context about crushes was useful to those of us who don't remember football in and before the 80s.

Not sure if you heard the woman who called in who's brother in law was a police officer at Hillsborough but policing outside the ground. She gave her opinions on clearly what she'd been told by him and I thought that she was given a bit of a hard time by Johnny and not really allowed to express her full opinions without Johnny trying to deflect the conversation a different way.

I think the opinion was controversial and perhaps Johnny was just trying to distance himself and the station from that view. The woman was given plenty of time to explain her view.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I could understand what she was trying to say but I guess that yesterday wasn't the day to tell the nation that.

Paul Ross corrects himself to say that they are NOT taking calls on the subject of favourite films, etc, just texts and tweets.

I'm still trying to get my head around the station's strategy when it comes to getting callers.

A lot of time I don't think the station is rejecting callers, because there are no callers for the station to reject. Callers do seem to get on quite quickly.

Sounds like the studio is falling apart again....

Good big debate on 'clouds' today.

One caller is at home looking after his wife who's hurt her anus.

The sports news guy told Jon to stop interrupting him today so they either recorded a special version for Jon or did it live on that occasion.

The sports bulletins are recorded anyway. It isn't the same bulletin as TalkSport. Many groups with two local stations in an area will put out different news bulletins read by the same person on each station. This has been the case since the last millennium.

I got a tweet from Ass Prod Cass today, asking if I was interested, in having a turn on the Lonely Lunch Club, cause of a tweet I sent, replayed saying I would think about it, worried of making a tit out of myself

Go for it you've got nothing to lose. They don't independently verify everything you say. You've got the rest of tonight and tomorrow morning to make your story more interesting if you don't think it's interesting enough.

I Texted her back, and said I can't do tomorrow, but she said she wanted to follow my account and would be interested if and when, I fancied a laugh

I thought it was live at first until he carried on the rest of the bulletin while Jon carried on talking over him

The Twitter/twiggy/tram tongue twister was very funny, didn't hear the clouds debate, will have to listen again

Does anybody do an 'unofficial' edited-full-show Jon Holmes podcast, like the Iain Lee one?

Someone phoned up last night saying she found the station simply by searching for "talk radio", as she simply wanted some kind of a talk show to listen to. So that is one listener found as a result of the naming of the station.

No one uploads his shows as far as I know, edited or not. As far as I know, I'm the only one recording it but I don't really have the time to edit and upload it every day. If the Listen Again goes down then I can upload the missing bits.
