So only billboards, no print media, tv or online. Aren't billboards a fairly small part of overall advertising industry so not that extensive.
Odd strategy focussing on the ultra competitive London and Manchester markets, do Virgin really think they can compete with Radio X, Capital, Heart and Absolute who are on FM in those area surely they'd have more success in areas with less competition. Sounds like a major error with their launch strategy. I happened to notice an advert on the front cover of Sport magazine, although of course that is in the same company. I don't read generally read any magazines or newspapers, so maybe it was advertised elsewhere in places that I wouldn't have seen them. |

Danny Kelly will be a one-off they are just filling that slot until george Galloway can start probably next week?... If they have to bring in a talksport presenter then Kelly isn't a bad shout. disapointing though as I think a 3 hour phone in with Alan Brazil waxing lyrical on the days news could be a pretty fine listen...
If they do start swapping presenters from one to the other I always have my off button and I will definitely use it.

I'm only saying London and Manchester because those were the places where I saw them. On the Virgin thread someone said they were widespread in Aberdeenshire. No doubt they existed in other places too.
. That was myself, they were on just about every bus shelter in my town back at launch. To be fair that was the only ads I have seen for the station. |

That's fantastic Rich. Thanks very much for taking the time mate. I've been working my way back with the podcasts and I'm currently up to late 2015. It will be great to have some good ones to listen to over the weekend. Overall, I'm quite impressed with the quality of the podcasts, they are consistently good and I really like Howard's enthusiasm.
See you here on Sunday for the TalkRadio show! Thanks again mate.

Danny Kelly sounding really good. One of the few talksport presenters I still look out for (I was a massive TS fan - just H&J and the two mikes now) do you think he could be a regular?

I'm assuming H&J are just on holiday this week?
Keep tuning in and finding that god awful Parry talking nonsense. Having said that, switched over to talk radio and finding Jon Holmes hilarious! |

Jon Holmes is brilliant. aside from Iain Lee, the best thing on the station. definetely pushes the boundaries! the segment where he had the work experience trying to steal food from the Wireless Group canteen was very funny.

When I click on this website above with all the Iain Lee podcasts it now says "account is suspended" does anyone know what is happening?. It was a great website and I wonder if the owner is planning on moving it to another place so we can still use it?. |

Danny Kelly is an ace broadcaster. Could do a show on the subject of pretty much anything. Am surprised he didn't get a regular gig at TR.

I like Danny Kelly aswell . I feel he is wasted on Tallksport and would fit in better on Talk radio.

I don't think JHB has ever listened to Jon Holmes. At the handover she didn't know how a haiku is formed.

Iain has just done an 18 minute long Facebook video from the talkRADIO office. Towards the end, a very young looking Rudd, who was sat next to Kath, introduced himself as an "assistant producer" even though he is described as an "unpaid work experience" on Jon Holmes' show. Unless it is a different Rudd?

It's a Jon Holmes thing. Con was always described as the paid intern at Radio X when he was actually the assistant producer
