Interestingly, someone phoned up Iain last night, intending to talk about Ross' dogging incident. To start with, Iain partially indulged him, saying it was the elephant in the room, but when it became clear that the caller had intended to put the boot in, Iain gave him short shrift. Iain said that Ross hadn't done much, if anything, wrong and had always been nice to him.

Iain said if the same had happened to him, he would have done a whole show about it and got all the jokes out of the way.

The handovers between Jon and JHB seem friendly enough, so I'm not convinced there is genuine animosity between those two.

Jerry Springer's podcast will be aired on the station. A specially-edited version, at least:

So there was some logic in the trail for the "Jerry Springer Breakfast Show" that we heard during the test transmissions.

Ben did the sport live from the talkRADIO studio for a change. Of course, the team managed to interrupt him a lot.

Who listened to David Icke on Howard Hughes Unexplained on Sunday night? I was surprised he left it until the final hour after midnight though. Whatever anyone thinks of Icke he's always worth a listen and there are elements within his narrative that are reasonably sane.

Hearing Nigel From Maidstone talk about his biking I was impressed. It's quite a while since I've put in a 30 mile mountain bike effort in one day. The most I've ever done is 44 miles in one afternoon.

I think 30 milers have gone now for me Sleeps it's a steady 16 these days but it's still a decent run and enjoyable. It's still the same course alongside the Sheffield & South Yorkshire canal via the towpath, on early sunny mornings it's one of the best feelings in the world when your out there on a bike.

Doesn't Iain Lee handle Nigel well, a bit cruel at times I know but if he didn't do it Nigel would just rabbit on and on about his bl00dy awful songs because that's all he rings in for to play audio tapes of his horrid putrid warbling.

There was a trail for Jerry Springer at around 14.45. He's on midnight to 1 o'clock after Anna Williamson.

The schedule is now showing Best of Iain Lee on Saturday night at 9pm instead of Anna Williamson.

They seem to be running out of notable contestants for Paul Rossmaster. Today it was Luke from the website.

Looks like George Galloway starts next Friday:

19:00 George Galloway
The original Top Cat, George Galloway returns with the Mother Of All Talkshows. Call the show on 0844 499 1000 (7p/min + chgs). Text TALK and your message to 87222 (25p + chgs).

From http://talkradio.co.uk/radio/schedule/2016-06-24

Hopefully they'll use the Top Cat theme like he had on talkSPORT!

Yes, bit disappointing this week.

I don't see why they can't get people from the UTV locals as they did with Capital and Heart at Global.

Ass Prod Cass was filmed singing Bon Jovi as she became the back-up busker as the one that Cornelius booked didn't turn up

If you look through the glass, it looks like Cass and Chloe share a microphone and don't have one each.

What strikes me as alarming is that it must cost a fortune to produce Jon's shows with Dave, Con, Cass and Chloe, as well as Jon's fee. I've worked in radio and never known that many producers on a slot that usually gets not many listeners. In fact even some London and National stations don't have that many producers/hosts on breakfast.

Don't get me wrong its worth it but im surprised that they dont just run with Con and Dave and put them behind the glass like Iain Lee did with Chris and Alex at LBC.

A lot of the time either Con or Dave isn't around so they often have a team of four. Dave has been off a lot to work on a Radio Wales show. Still, four is a big team. The station has had criticism for cutting costs on technology and engineering but they aren't skimping on programming staff which arguably is the most important.

Con and Victoria are both going to Glastonbury. Not a "date", more a "weekend away". Victoria will report him if she finds him in her tent. Jon said "Rightly so. You keep your flaps closed!"

Someone phoned up last night saying she found the station simply by searching for "talk radio", as she simply wanted some kind of a talk show to listen to. So that is one listener found as a result of the naming of the station.

No one uploads his shows as far as I know, edited or not. As far as I know, I'm the only one recording it but I don't really have the time to edit and upload it every day. If the Listen Again goes down then I can upload the missing bits.
To be fair, there isn't that much to remove, since he regularly makes news, sport, adverts part of his show!

Even the traffic woman had a text read out. Obviously it wasn't really her!

Anyone editing the show would have to examine whether the bits to be potentially removed included any interjections from the team.

I Tweeted the show this afternoon and Dave replied even though he wasn't on today.

At 14:06, after more banter about Con and Victoria going to Glastonbury

Jon: "Do you want a boy inside you?"
Victoria: "Oh my God!"
Jon: "Oh...I mean...you could get pregnant"

Last night, after Iain said that talk on Brexit was banned for tonight, Wednesday night and Thursday night, he said JHB was "sailing close to the wind on yesterday's show in regard to that {EU Referendum] and recent criminal activities". He said the producer should have a word, but "oh no, she would just shout at them".

I know all through the EU referendum period Iain Lee has wanted to keep his show free from it because he felt they were covering it everywhere else and he wanted his show to be different but surely he was wrong when he was telling callers they simply weren't allowed to talk about it. They could have been talking about it all show if he'd wanted them to all he would have needed to do was have added a degree of balance, i,e. had a mix of callers some 'In' and some 'Out'.

Nevertheless I am glad he kept the show clear of it, I've been very interested in following the referendum on all the other radio stations and on TV but it's been nice to get away from it late at night and have something to make me smile and laugh. Iain Lee is an interesting character to listen to, sometimes bordering on the insane but always compulsive listening once you've got into the show. Couple this with some of the funniest callers anywhere on radio and you have a winning show. [Barry from Watford, Alan Caddick, Nigel and many more]

The only thing letting the show down is the actual amount of callers so far, a show as funny as this should be getting jammed switchboards, maybe in time as the show gets more known about it will and I really hope it happens.

Iain's very strange cable car ride!

Of course, talking about Brexit not illegal by the law of the land, given that many other shows are talking about it, so the "ban" is self-imposed.

I still think a lot of people don't know about the show because it is on a new digital radio station that has had minimal advertising. An old listener phoned up last night and said he had just found it.

I haven't been listening to much talkRADIO apart from Iain and Jon, but would I be right in saying that the volume of callers on other shows is still very low or non-existent?
