Lisa from Virgin was meant to be playing Paul Rossmaster yesterday but they were unable to reach her. So as it was Ginger Producer Dave's responsibility, they phoned him up even though he wasn't producing and got him to play instead. Despite getting two questions right, he got no points and is at the bottom of the leaderboard.

I wonder if it was related to the new printer (slower than the old one)?

He got another hammering haha

George Galloway just had a go at either the talkSPORT newsreader or show producer, basically saying

" this is my show and i will read out the breaking news, if you dont like that i will get up and leave"

anyone caught this on periscope? Got a link?

To be fair, i think things are going on behind the scenes, the recent newscorp bid for the wireless group has caused tension. Murdoch is not Galloways biggest fan, you just have to look at Stan Collymore to see what happens when you fall out with Murdoch or 1 of his companies.

I heard that and found it very strange indeed. Galloway began saying something about breaking news of another shooter on the loose in the States and how he was amazed how that country was descending into such race troubles, then clearly got prompted to stop going any further before launching what amounted to a very unedifying and almost bullying diatribe against someone behind the scenes. Very unprofessional to do that on air, would have been out of order to speak like that off air too. The mask slipped quite a bit there I thought.

As for the breaking news he was attempting to break on air.....it wasn't even true!

It was confusing, as I assumed there must be major disturbances breaking out all across America, going by what George said.

His admonishment of his Producer reminded me of Danny Baker's outburst at his Producer on 5Live 6-0-6 many years ago.

But it didn't bother me as these things happen more than you'd think on every station, it just doesn't always reach the air.

I thought it was an excellent show from George on the Chilcot Report, apart from I tuned out whilst he spoke to that weasel holed up in the Embassy, as I have no wish to hear his views on anything. The rest of it was very good. Hopefully GG will be invited onto LBC to replace Andrew Pierce on Friday evening if he's removed from TR.

He's had a stand in producer this week due to Ed being off, obviously they didn't get on well. It sounds like the policy at talkRadio like most radio stations is that the on call editor/senior producer will give the go ahead to break the story once it has been confirmed as being true. Russia Today is hardly the most reliable source neither.

Ive had a presenter have a go at me on air before and its not a nice experience especially as you can't reply and generally have to suck it up and cary on. I would hope management will have a word however in my experience this won't happen and the producer will just be told don't worry about it.

George's Friday evening rant was at 21:16 (16:37 on the link below):

http://cdn.talksport.com/talkradio/a...08_2000_LA.mp3

"RT are reporting that is an active shooter..."

"Someone's telling me that it is the newsreader that has to break the news. If you don't mind, on my show, I'll break whatever news I like. If you don't like it, I'll take off my earphones and leave. I've had enough of you telling me what I can say and not say on this radio show"

"That's your final warning."

At the start of his show today, Jon played the clip of George Galloway telling off his producer and giving him a "final warning".

Good to have The Two Mikes on mid mornings, thought they were very good and funny today. Laughed a lot at the segment they did on Swinging with Mike Graham finishing it by saying in no way related we have news about Teresa May.

I listened to them today and a good laugh the bit Mike Parry saying that swingers have a certain plant growing in there front garden as a sign of their activity and then some worried guy emailing about how he is off round his grandmas to remove the one growing in her front garden.........The fashion advice was a good laugh as well.

That had me laughing alot as well, MG also saying he reckoned someone had one on his street was very funny as well, with Porky replying with "You better get round quick".

They have been very good this morning as well, i wish this was permanent as the 10-1 slot is a time I struggle to find something to listen too. I like JOB on LBC but he can be a bit heavy at times.

The talkRADIO (and talkSPORT) schedules are still showing the Two Mikes doing overnight, as well as 10am-1 pm. So I checked the Listen Again and it was a Two Mikes repeat until 3.50 when Ballard took over live.

Don't see the point in this, considering the show is put out as podcast, you can listen to that if you missed it live, would rather have a live show.

Everyone's different and that's what makes the world go around I would far sooner listen to a very recent podcast with all the adverts, news bulletins, trailers, weather and travel & traffic taken out I just enjoy it so much more.

Jon Holmes played the George Galloway clip for the third time today:

"Just time to listen again to talkRADIO's own George Galloway being a rude, unpleasant arse"

I don't understand that.

Clearly George Galloway issue was with his producer, something that should be sorted professionally behind the scenes.

So why are talkRADIO editors and producers encouraging their presenters to play the clip on their programmes? Is it supposed to be funny, are we missing the in joke?

Why are talkRADIO washing their dirty lining in public? They seem proud to do so.
