Brilliant! I'm hoping its even better than when they covered for JHB. In theory because Jon's usual slot is messing about hopefully they will do the same.

On another note about them i love this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIVbd5AqOew The lady doing his hair has no idea what to make of Porky.

It looks as if one of LBC's best slots (the Ken and David show, recently minus Ken) has been given the boot entirely and worse, handed over to the waste of oxygen that is Katie Hopkins.

I can only hope talkRADIO can find a way to get that show back on air. LBC are truly plumbing the depths with their dumbed-down choices and direction and I hope tR is able to fill that void in the long term.

Galloway mentioned his show was podcasted last week. Are they available on iTunes?

The RAJAR figures for the 2nd quarter of 2016 should be due quite soon. It will be interesting to see how TalkRadio fares in the first full quarter it's been on air for April, May & June.

TalkRadio has George Galloway, who could be described in similar terms to Katy Hopkins.

As for LBC presenters moving to TalkRadio, that has only worked out for Iain Lee. JHB - who got the phones ringing at LBC - gets no calls.

Thanks for this. That was at one time one of my favorite radio shows (I bought an internet radio adapter for my hifi before LBC was pre DAB. I also subscribed to the podcasts. My card expired and so my subscription lapsed. I won't renew!

I'm a big LBC podcast listener and I was searching for the David Mellor & Michael Crick show tonight and couldn't find it anywhere on their podcast website so 15 minutes ago I emailed them informing them about it.

Now I read your saying it's been scrapped, if this is true I will be very very disappointed it was my favourite show on LBC. [better when Ken was there but still great]

What on earth are they playing at?, the show was a massive hit with listeners I reckon their podcast subscriptions might take a hit over this if it's true I'm certainly going to think about it and write in and complain strongly.

Only in terms of their place on the political spectrum. Like Ken Livingstone, they have both expressed controversial views and offended groups of people.

I have to agree with Paul. There is no similarity of note.

I'll put it slightly different. Galloway and Livingstone are the left's equivalent of Hopkins and Farage.

If this country was like the US, so we had a left-wing talk station and a right-wing talk station, I can imagine Galloway and Hopkins being on at the same time, trying to appeal to people who want shock-jock polemical controversial speech programming. Only the BBC would offer something more moderate with broad appeal.

I understood what you meant - I just think you're wrong about Hopkins, who is in a category of vileness all by herself. It's not about left and right.

As there is a Parliamentary recess, and it's Summer holiday season for presenters, how do you know the LBC Saturday show isn't just taking a break?
There's been no announcement it's been cancelled.

A caller said to Nick Abbot the other night he was sorry Nick was leaving. He isn't.

I think the answers to your questions are on the LBC thread.

Mellor's been removed from the presenters' page for one thing.

I think I can tell you that now ! Terrible . I think it's probably a good thing News Corp are taking over as I would not see much future for the station without them . As it is they can start over again & get them onto the Sky Platform for a start .

Do me a favour ! Galloway likes nothing more than bullying someone who doesn't agree with him on air .

I was wandering that, surely it will be live but that means 6 hours. The TalkSPORT website says Colin Murray is on today so was it a last minute change maybe.

Talk Radio schedule is showing Bob Mills at 1pm today.

From what Mike Graham has said on Twitter it was a late substitute.

Didn't re-check that website, I know it said the Two Mikes the other day & Mills trailed it, I hope he stays on this week, I enjoyed his shows last week.

Never heard him bully anyone.

People just don't like it up em.

I say it again GG is the best presenter on talkRADIO and deserves at least 3 gigs a week.

This is a non-sequitur, given the discussion so far.
