Sounds like a lovely event & quite a scoop for them to get Georgia on board as she's probably currently one of the biggest stars from that part of the world n terms of public awareness!!
It wil also do her no harm to associate herself with these kind of charity functions & she has a very narural charm with her!!
All in all I wouldn't mind being there on the night if I'm honest!!

For one dreadful moment I thought the headlines meant that Georgia was going to "do an Aleysha" and become a Strictly judge! But to judge this wonderful charity event is great, and I think she will be ideal.

Hopefully the 'Alesha experience' has tought them about the wisdom of hiring former contestants as judges!!

yeah. It really didn't work with Alesha IMO. Hence why former contestants shouldn't judge. Georgia was good though as a contestant as a judge though no

But exceptions can be made for charity events.

Yes, agreeing to take part in a charity event is definitely a good thing, and I'm sure Georgia will do very well in that context. But there's a world of difference between a one-off charity event and becoming a judge on Strictly itself, and I agree that Alesha wasn't ideal. Although she did grow into the role, I feel she's much more suited to the BGT judging panel.

Obviously, people from the latin/ballroom world would be the best judges, but I'd even rather Bonnie Langford than another former contestant as a Strictly judge. (Actually, now that I think of it, that would be better than having another current Eastenders star as a contestant. As a judge, she'd only need to dedicate her Saturday to Strictly, and make the occasional appearance on ITT, and she wouldn't have to find time for daily training in the middle of a big and exhausting storyline.)

I'm not a fan of EE, but I do quite like Bonnie Langford.
She's been in EE since the summer, I think - some time in July or August.

Oh please no! Not Bonnie Langford in any role to do with Strictly. Wouldn't know anything about EE as never watch the Soaps!

I agree she is good to judge a charity event but if they were thinking of doing an Alesha with her I would then think big no and that wouldn't work and ex contestants shouldn't judge the main series

Oh no, not Bonnie - we already have the Tits and Teeth, Faces you can see in the next County Judge section more that adequately covered by Craig
