I know, it's ridiculous ! John has been my favourite all the way through after David left and I've defended him to the hilt, but that one just killed it for me. HE, not Steph sounded like a big petulant child !!

If he'd screamed and shouted at her, and told her she was a bitch, a tart and a skank, do you think that would l have been FINE because it was 'just a task'?”

So, based on your comments in this thread, you truly believe Steph did that ON PURPOSE to rile John? Yet, on other threads they are meant to "get on fine", "he has supported Steph", "Steph has not been offended by his comments". So, if that is the case and she has a good relationship with John and all John has done is "support her" (as seems to be the party line), why would she want to do that?

And why would she look so conflicted in that bed (in a related video) when you could tell she wanted to tell him it was a task and was squirming inside!

She's just innocently over-played it on this one and you know it.

Rumours and a fight are two different things ! As you keep saying, she used to do fights like that, they were hardly going to believe her had she toned it down any for a task !

Chucking all that milk around wasn't just 'overplaying it'. It actually shocked me. That was disgusting and unnecessary. It was contemptuous.

And she can't be 'innocent' of it. It wasn't in the script.

She didn't need to cover the windows and everything in the kitchen with milk. John was in there, having probably just cleaned the place. It was really, really thoughtless of her.

oops - sorry - cross-posted with someone else who said the same thing.

I think such an act is much worse than thoughtless actually.

Well, that's your perception.

The chucking of milk around was silly and WAS OTT. But hilarious at the same time for me, because I KNEW she didn't mean it to cause any harm whatsoever. It was a Steph moment. Just taking it that one step too far, WITHOUT thinking of the consequences.

It may be hilarious for you as you're watching, in on the joke and you don't have to live with her and clean it up. I don't dislike Steph but if you lived with her the joke would wear thin very quickly.

Innocently? Give me a break. Nothing that Steph does is innocent.

I think he was spot on.

Steph didn't give a crap how John felt, or how horrible it is to have to endure her childish rantings and THEN have to clean up after her again, when she didn't NEED to do that at all.

It was just so Steph could have another BIG moment.

John reacted in a perfectly understandable way. She's a selfish me me me brat. The 'task is no excuse for how far she went.

That sort of thing is done for REAL too. And when it is it demonstrates CONTEMPT for the other person.

She didn't need to do it and she's not innocent of it. Task or not.

And you say 'doesn't THINK'. I think she actually doesn't CARE.

Because if she DID, she would think wouldn't she.

BB gave stephanie role of leading the challenges in the diary room and she picked the challenges for each HM

BB have also given Stephanie and Scotty this task of fooling the HMs

They are shoving her into everyone's psyche , favoritism
Time they gave another HM a task isn't it !

She did a fight with John that was convincing and all he said was 'Keep talking'.

And she's never thrown stuff around has she? That was a bit 'specially nasty'. Especially as it was ONLY a task.

Rubbish, it's the last week in a game show, she was given a task, she did it and made them believe that she was having a real fight, more fool them if they got petulant about it.

Tiff spread rumours, everyone insulted John and everyone ruined Gemma's birthday - all those taks could have been very nasty if it wasn't for the way they were done. Steph went too far it seems, I don't think it was out of malice, she just has no cop on. It's Big Brother that have given Steph and Scotty a helping hand in the final and put the knife in to John and attempted to put the knife in to Tiff (I'm sure they're not finished with Tiff)”

I completely agree, I think it's disgusting. The producers have set John up to be the bad guy for weeks and looking at this forum it's the posters who have watched it for years that see what is happening! The editing when things have happened but have not really rung true and so much more. Plus the BOTS audience and panels have been anti John from the beginning. We get it every show now where the producers have their favourites who they give all the best tasks to and we only have to look back at the Helen Wood getting the pass to the final to know that this is true.

I think they have set John up like a kipper this year and like you say I don't think they have finished with Tiff yet either! To think so many of us have felt sorry for Steph, yes this was a task, but Steph seems to have gone out of her way to wind John up the most when he has been nothing but kind and decent to her and a shoulder to cry on. I have done with Steph too, it'd no wonder the housemates are at the end of their tether with her and maybe we have been wrong about Scott and Danniella being so nasty to her and we just haven't seen enough of what she has really been like. Task or no task, why did she need to throw the milk everywhere? No wonder John is so cross with her!

Stephanie should have shown more respect during that task, but she didn't.
Steph was aggressive and very destructive, throwing a bottle of milk all over the kitchen, then left it for someone else to clean it up.

Excellent post Darcy. I think they have pushed John too far now and he has had enough.

They were pissed off because she's a brat anyway and quite capable of being so stupidly nasty.

It's not funny when it feels contemptuous and real.
