She's very popular and does a good job with some of the more challenged contestants. I'm guessing Edyta might not be a permanent fixture.
DWTS360 has been taken over by divadarv (who has also taken over from Kristyn on afterbuzz) she was asked about the troupe and if Jenna was the only female and she said looks like it but she will find out |

I watched a few of the couples interviews on youtube and I'm afraid for Artem and Misha Barton (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7o39Gm5iXs). She's a lovely young woman and I can imagine she'll be a good dancer, but I'm afraid her personality won't appeal to DWTS's demographic. The other women (Ginger, Jodie, Paige) all seem to be the sunny, upbeat types who do well on these shows.
It does look like a great cast this series. |

Mark has a potential winner again this year then?
More importantly, where is Emma? And why is Geraldo in the cast? He's the worst. |

Was a very high standard for the first night and the scores reflected that.
Still finding it too OTT like last season. Got a feeling Len is going to have a breakdown by the end of it. Shame there's nobody in the line-up for the international audience. I didn't know who any of the contestants were which is a first. Bit of a coup getting the current MVP though, they must have paid big money for him. |

Good morning fellow DWTS watchers.
Hated the music this week. Deaf model is shoe-in for the final. Keo is going to break his week 1 duck. Ex Mrs Trump did a helluva cartwheel in that dress. Is Emma coming over to Strictly? Why is Len back? £££££? Mischa can't dance ![]() Why is Von dancing if MVP? What if he breaks something? |

the deaf model isn't as good as what people are making out and their playing the sympathy with him, he wasn't the worst of the night but not top of the leaderboard. Geraldo was overmaked and should be out next week surley. Tony has someone who can dance

Love this cast, but hate the lack of live music and all the production frills (the backing dancers in week one already, the strange camera work). I don't know how Len deals with it all. Very pleasantly surprised by Nyle. There are so many good dancers with strong fanbases that it will be a real competition. Poor Artem--Misha can't dance and is even worse personality-wise than I expected. Wouldn't be surprised to see her first out. Quote:

Finally watched the week one dances. Not sure if I can stick with this show. It really is a mess
. Not familiar with most of the cast, but it does seem pretty decent and quite a few likeable partnerships with the potential to produce good dances, but everything else is awful. What's happened to the camerawork? In the past I always thought it was something they did so much better than Strictly. You nearly always saw the feet or whole body, but now it's terrible . The studio is chaotic. Even the wonderful Tom wasn't sure where to send some of the couples after judging 😬 . The lighting seemed weird. I've moaned in the past that the lighting was sometimes so dark I couldn't see the dancers properly, but this week the lighting was harsh and unflattering. Hated lots of the costumes, too. As per usual, most of the ballroom numbers were interchangeable/unrecognisable...CAI - enough, woman, just calm down 😳 No Houghs. Yay. Mischa - not a great dance, but judges unnecessarily mean in the comments. She's already pretty wary and brittle, so hope she can pick herself back up. Geraldo - horrible. Edyta still has great legs. Ginger - seems like the perky all-American gal who will be popular (or annoy). Has great potential, but not a heap of jive in their jive... Paige - think she'll be good and she has experience (whatever she says about not doing girly stuff ) Doug - seems pleasant. Erm.. Karina worked her dress very well 😂 Wanya - think he'll be good, but don't think Whitney's going to bother overly with technique. Jodie - I thought this was one of the best dances (technically) but reading a couple of forums, the US audience thought it was boring. Pesky technique, eh? Marla - not bad Nyle - very impressive. He's clearly a natural mover and Peta did a great job in unfamiliar territory. Hope they don't gush too much over him. He's good enough without CAI having a breakdown each week... Antonio - think he has 'natural' and could be great if he can learn to control it Von - don't remember a thing.... Kim - only saw a snippet of her dance, but she seems fun and a decent mover |

Here's my thoughts.
KIM/SASHA- Good choreo, high energy, good fun to watch, good way to start the series. Score- 7 PAIGE/MARK- Well danced, high energy, feel it was too fast for a Foxtrot though, but I liked the twists. Score- 7 DOUG/KARINA- Lots of footwork mistakes, slightly rough and stiff, but I’m looking forward to seeing more from him. Seems charming. Bill Engvall/Robert Herjavec of this series? Score- 4 JODIE/KEO- Obviously very experienced, well danced, shouldn’t be smiling in a Tango but very strong technically. Not the most memorable but lots of potential. Score- 6 GERALDO/EDYTA- Great to see Edyta back. Anything else? Score- 2 MARLA/TONY- Very bright, elegant, pleasant surprise, she has some potential in ballroom- nice to see Tony with a better partner. Score- 7 WANYA/LINDSAY- Very fast, energetic, well danced, on time, great fun, excellent choreo, some fun extras as well. Score- 9 GINGER/VAL- Took ages to start, some strong Jive, some good choreo with twists but I feel that they were slightly overmarked. Score- 7 MISCHA/ARTEM- Took ages to start, Artem obviously tried to disguise her faults, as there were lots of them, hated the dip at the end, stiff and a few stumbles and her head movements are all over the place. She doesn't show much personality however on a positive, she can act well. Score- 3NYLE/PETA- Heart warming to see him give it a go, I think Peta is the best pro for him, and boy can he move, great footwork, amazing choreo, high energy, very very good. Score- 8 ANTONIO/SHARNA- There is lots of potential, the footwork looked strong, and he is good performer but I don’t think there was enough Quickstep there. Score- 6 VON/WITNEY- He is too tall for her, so looks stiff and again I feel there is a slight lack of content, but what i there is very good, and he has potential. Score- 6 |

finally seen all the dances
Kim & Sasha - nice to see Sasha back she was good room for improvement but great start Paige & Mark - she can dance but is that was they are calling a foxtrot? Doug & Karina - reminds me on Bill could go far Jodie & Keo - won't be out first good dance but not as great as it should have been, wouldn't say boring but it wasn't a wow dance either Geraldo & Edyta - disaster but Edyta was great Maria & Tony - better than expected potential at least in ballroom Wanya & Lindsay - my favs of the night but need to see them in ballroom & tonight is Latin night Ginger & Val - I thought this was a mess not a jive & with her experience should have been far better Mischa & Artem - wasn't expecting much as from the reveal she could barely walk straight or with any style so the dance was as I expected stiff and lifeless hopefully she may improve but can't see it Nyle & Peta - good but not as good as everyone is making out Antonio & Sharna - loads of potential and character more content than the other ballroom dances on the night but that isn't saying much it didn't have any competition really for me it needed more qs for dwts it was fine Von & Witney - umm foxtrot really? Hated the choreography no surprise as it was Witney's or her helpers he could have been good with Emma who I believe is taller than Witney who to me is the weakest pro dancer on the show, overall they were forgettable |
