I hope Mark is OK.
I feel it is an absolute disgrace to bring back Edyta after 11 seasons away, build up so much hype about her coming back and then give her a duffer who is out the first week.
I would have given Von to Edyta so she could get a real chance and then give Geraldo to Witney. Those two reversed pairings would make much more sense height-wise as well.
I hope next season she is back with a contender, Allison can take another season off to be with her new baby Maddox, who was born on Monday.

thought the right couple did leave, now Mischa for next week, Still think Geraldo and Nyle were over marked, Hope Mark's Back next week, think Paige and Wayna were deserving of being top of the leaderboard, think it will be one of those 2 that win

WEEK 2:
Jodie/Keo- Samba: The Samba's tricky- she definitely got a bit stressed over it. Dance wise I thought she is technically very good- I don't think it was the right music for the samba but I think this could have got an 8 or two if it was later on in the night. Score- 8
Marla/Tony- AT: Is the AT a Latin Dance?? I'm enjoying these two- they're similar to Katie and Anton on SCD last year. She danced very well but I wasn't really a fan of the choreo.
Score- 6
Geraldo/Edyta- Salsa: The Trump scene was cringeworthy, he didn't really dance
again either, stiff, Edyta just dancing around him, this was dreadful. Score- 1
Paige/Alan (Mark)- Salsa: Shame to see Mark injured, hope he's OK and back next week. This was excellent, fast, very technical, also great performance, loved the song, good movement, this was really good. Score- 9
Antonio/Sharna- Rumba: On one hand, the Rumba is out the way, the only way is up, but this wasn't very good- didn't feel comfortable to watch, and the technique was a bit meh, and an illegal lift. Only way is up! Score- 5
Kim/Sasha- Salsa: She's great fun, but a few mistakes towards the end and that spoilt it a bit- but we all make mistakes. Score- 6
Nyle/Peta- Rumba: He's great- can't believe he's deaf. This wasn't as good as the Cha Cha but it certainly wasn't bad. Score- 7
Mischa/Artem- Cha Cha: Was never a fan of Artem on SCD- thought he had changed after Patti LaBelle, but he's back to his usual self- not very supportive and a tough teacher.
Dance wise, this was rubbish, she's so stiff, the footwork was wrong and there wasn't much content- he was just dragging her around the floor. Score- 2
Von/Witney- Cha Cha: I love the strict Witney, $100, she'll be a millionaire by the end of the series
Again, the height difference is very obvious, and TBH, I didn't really like the Hip-Hop style of the dance, and the choreo was meh, not enough Cha Cha content. Score- 6
Wanya/Lindsay- Salsa: He's my pick for the winner- best dancer, great personality. Lindsay's choreo was very challenging and he pulled it off, he's an amazing performer, pretty good technique. I'm not sure the Ballroom will suit him as much, but I'm looking forward to it. Score- 9
Doug/Karina- Paso Doble: This showed how good Karina is- she produced good basic choreo that he was able to do and he pulled it off. Some of the other pros should take note when they have a weaker contestant (Witney, remember that Cha Cha with Chris?).
He made a great improvement and is this series' journey contestant. Score- 7
Ginger/Val- Samba: Well it was technically strong, but it didn't have the WOW factor that the last performance should have. Score- 7

She has the Samba this week, so unless she drastically improves her dancing, she's a gonner.

Even if she does improve, I still think she'll be off unless she's top of the leader board with the judges. And that's not going to happen! The public vote on last week and I can't see her attitude winning many people over.

Poor Artem

Here are the dances and songs everyone will be doing this week:

Antonio Brown & Sharna Burgess – Foxtrot – “7 Years” by Lukas Graham
Doug Flutie & Karina Smirnoff – Waltz – “Rainbow Connection” by Kermit the Frog
Ginger Zee & Valentin Chmerkovskiy – Contemporary – “Home” by Phillip Phillips
Jodie Sweetin & Keo Motsepe – Foxtrot – “Rise Up” by Andra Day
Kim Fields & Sasha Farber – Foxtrot – “Facts of Life” TV Theme Song by Gloria Loring
Marla Maples & Tony Dovolani – Jive – “Happy” by Pharrell Williams
Mischa Barton & Artem Chigvintsev – Samba – “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus
Nyle DiMarco & Peta Murgatroyd – Tango – “Verge” by Owl City, Aloe Blacc
Paige VanZant & Mark Ballas – Paso Doblé – “300 Violin Orchestra” by Jorge Quintero
Von Miller & Witney Carson – Contemporary – “In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins
Wanyá Morris & Lindsay Arnold – Waltz – “National Anthem 96’ Olympic Ceremonies” by Boyz II Men

Looking forward to seeing how Wanya, Kim, and Ginger particularly do with the slower dances. Also looking forward to Paige - I hope she can give some attitude in her Paso.

yeah somehow I cant see her improving her score really, and I think she will struggle with samba Geraldo was the only one underneath her when the scores were added to both weeks and the same with week 2 she had the 2nd bottom score, now the couple underneath her have gone surely it means this week she will be going?

I gave up on the show after her (Zendaya) season but I am glad to see her back as a judge; Well she has been there every season anyways to support Val but it's nice to see her back as a judge. I think that she will be fair and pleasantly surprise people as usual .

She remains my favorite DWTS contestant and IMO she is the best partner Val ever had. I am pretty sure that she will be dancing as well this summer in his show with Maks; I wished she could do all the dates but with her crazy schedule, I dont see it. She will probably do just a couple of shows. Anyways, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK I am excited

Loved them in SWAY; It was 1 year after their season https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNw8jXbttqA (even though because of her schedule she couldn't do it last year ) and I cant wait to see them on tour again this year .

All their dances were my favorites ( cheesy...but true ) but their Jive remains my favorite dancing with the stars Jive EVER and I am probably biased but the best dwts Jive ever by a woman; only to rival this was Nicole's jive with Derek

And it was ONLY week 2 ....week 2 ; My favorite DWTS Partnership .

Switch Up Week should be coming soon.
Who do you think will get who?
I would like:
Antonio to Lindsay- Only pro to have not had a football player, so let's see what she could do.
Nyle to Sharna- It would be better for him if he got someone similar to Peta so it doesn't feel awkward. Plus she does well with challenges (e.g. Andy, Noah etc.)
Doug to Witney- Not a great choreographer, Deserves an older celeb imo.
Von to Peta- Did well with Donald Driver- A different type of teacher from Witney as well- interesting to see what Peta could do with him.
Wanya to Karina- Deserves a good one for all the work she's done with Doug.

Kim to Mark- Height. I do think that they would suit each other nicely though.
Marla to Val- Same as Witney, never gets an older celeb and isn't great with choreo anymore (he used to be when he had Z).
Jodie to Tony- Would like him to get a ringer for the week.
Paige to Keo- Pretty much by process of elimination, but these two could be a good match and would look good together.
Ginger to Sasha- A different type of teacher to Val- I think that they would make a good partnership.

Note that I have tried to pair celebs with pros who are different to their original pros. It hasn't always worked (Kim/Mark is too similar to Kim/Sasha) but I hated when Mark and Derek just swapped partners.
Looking forward to seeing Zendaya as a guest judge. She should have won her season- although Kellie Pickler was likeable and a good dancer.

how was Mischa's exit a shock? she was a rubbish dancer and usually on DWTS the rubbish ones tend to go 1st about 8 times out of 10

I'm sure they were being sarcastic about Mischa being eliminated.
Now that the 2 duds are gone, eliminations will become tough.
I think Marla is in danger and then Kim after the switch up week.
I think and hope Doug will stay towards Week 7 or 8. I don't want him knocking out contenders, but he is working so hard and is just so charming.
I wouldn't mind getting rid of Von and Antonio but that won't happen.
Paige could be in danger if she has one bad dance as I'm not sure about her fanbase.
Not sure about Ginger pulling in the votes but I see TPTB sending her to the semi finals.
Jodie should be safe- probably eliminated in the semi finals.
Wanya and Nyle are certs for the final.

Yes was being sarcastic I agree Paige might struggle. Clips of her covered in blood, as she punches people in the face might be off putting to some of the viewers. Shame though, she's the best dancer this season.

It's Disney week next week with Switch Up the week after; I'm pretty sure that's the case anyway.

I'm enjoying this series more than I have in a while - I feel mean saying it but I think it's because Derek isn't there casting an inadvertent shadow over everyone. The panel works better without Julianne and, up to this week, they were being harsher with their paddles.

It's nice to see far more hold than before being used in ballroom routines. Len would still give them a going over if it was Strictly but for Dancing with the Stars it's a nice development and I hope they continue with it. I'm not sure what Len saw with Paige and Mark's Paso, though, I thought it had enough content in it considering the overall show. They were the best for me this week followed by Nyle/Peta and Wanya/Lindsay.

At least Mischa/Artem left on a high but yet again the latter hasn't really had a chance to show himself off to an American audience like he has a British one.

Glad Mischa has gone bad attitude and could barely move on time let alone dance

Didn't understand Len's criticism of Mark and Paige's paso and nothing about any of the ballroom dance that had little to no in hold dancing at least you knew that it was a paso without being told can't say the same for many other dances on dwts.

Nyle was great Peta is doing an amazing job I still like Wayne but couldn't tell you what they were dancing Jodie I like but just can't warm to her and Keo still waiting for a wow dance Ginger is ok but wouldn't make me vote I like Doug and Karina I have a top 3 then everyone else is interchangeable

Looking forward to Disney week it is always a good week

Just popping in to register my favourites: Paige (best dancer), Nyle (probable winner), and Marla (surprise package).

If pushed for a single favourite, I'd vote Marla, but I fully expect her to be out soon.

(Honourable mention to Ginger; she looks like someone who could in time outperform Paige, but is currently very much a diamond in the rough).

again I think Nyle is overrated I think Wayna should win with Paige, Ginger and Nyle in that order from 4th to 1st as for who will go next I think Doug will be out next followed by Von following the next week and then Antonio

The poor guy's deaf, give him a break.
I agree that Wanya should win, but I don't think any of the football players are going anywhere soon. Marla and Kim are in danger.
Ginger and Paige are on slightly shaky ground as well.

I'm biased towards Marla; I have a type, and it's "surprisingly lithe older women", a la Katie Derham.

Wanya leaves me indifferent, but I think that may just be because I like my favourites to have a hint of underdog about them, and I'd be pleased for him if he won, as he seems nice.

BIB that's why he's overrated I disagree that Marla's in trouble she had Donald Trump fans voting for her apart from that fair enough
